This is our second time in Vietnam. Read a lot of reviews to choose a good hotel in Nha Trang. We rested in "Diamond Bay" and never regretted it! We had a difficult 6-hour night flight. We couldn’t sleep on the plane; we arrived early in the morning. We were very tired and wanted to sleep. We arrived at the hotel exhausted. Compared to other hotels, our "Diamond Bay" looked quite attractive. There was a huge bouquet of orchids in the lobby! Indescribable beauty!!! At the reception we were informed that they would be able to check us in earlier than 14:00, but we would need to pay for early check-in ($63). We were ready for this. We decided to move in because... It was only 6 o'clock in the morning, and we were "off our feet." They immediately brought me a compliment from the hotel with a tonic drink. I don’t know what it was made of, but something very tasty with ginger! Due to the fault of the tour operatorWe had some minor problems due to the room category. But the hotel guide helped solve everything. I would like to note the work of the hotel employees. Specifically in our situation, the responsible manager Ngoc Lich helped. I note that all administrators at the reception speak English. Ngoc Lich helped us find the optimal and profitable solution for us. And what is also important for me, he found the right words for my tired and starting to get nervous husband. :))) In addition, Ngoc Lich himself took us to the shopping center and showed us where we could have a snack. Thanks a lot!!! In the evening, a compliment from the hotel - fresh cookies; the next evening - a fruit plate... Perhaps a small thing, but very nice. Our room is on the 11th floor with a gorgeous view of the pool and coast!!! The room is spacious, with a balcony, all furniture and appliances are in working order. The room has a huge bed and a single bed, TV, refrigerator, rocking chair and coffee table. The bathroom has a shower and a bath. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body lotion with an amazing scent - rosemary and mint!!! The room itself is decorated in light colors, it’s comfortable to be in! There is a minibar for extra. fee. Water and tea are free. The room is cleaned daily, no complaints. We only go to the restaurant for breakfast. The choice of dishes is varied! Everything is tasty and satisfying. There is traditional Vietnamese soup Pho, scrambled eggs and omelettes, fresh fruit, delicious pastries. I was impressed by the waffles. But the most delicious thing is the cupcakes. They will remain forever in my heart! :))) Otherwise, a standard and tasty buffet set! Good cocktails at the pool bar. The beach pleasantly surprised us! Clean, beautiful, pleasant golden sand, the entrance to the sea is gentle. The water is warm and quite clean! Early in the morning and evening there are many locals and Chinese. After 8 o'clock only ours remained, about 8-10 people. The hotel has few sunbeds, but finding a free one was not a problem. Towels must be taken from hotel workers on the beach, wearing blue uniforms. They don't ask for a card or a room number. The child prefers swimming in the pool. There are outdoor swimming pools on the 4th floor. Children's, large (depth approximately 160 cm), small with jacuzzi. There is a pool bar. The property offers panoramic views of the coast. Makes great photos! Towels are provided at the bar. There are few Russians in the hotel, mostly Chinese. We are very pleased with the hotel. We recommend Diamond Bay for a visit!!!…

Nha Trang is warm all year round; the seasons differ in the amount of precipitation. The "dry" season lasts from January to August, the "wet" season - from September to December. Most tourists come in July and August.

A direct flight to Nha Trang airport from Moscow will take about 10-11 hours. Transfers are short. If you fly to Ho Chi Minh City (9 hours from Moscow), the transfer will take about 8 hours.

Mostly those who vacation here are those who have purchased vouchers with breakfast, which are so rich that they leave no one indifferent. In addition to the traditional morning set of meat and fish dishes, pancakes, fried eggs, cheeses and sausages, the chefs offer exotic dishes - for example, salad with lotus stems or ostrich stewed in wine. Always an abundance of vegetables and fruits.

There is also freedom for children. The hotel specializes in family vacations, so in addition to spicy Vietnamese dishes, there is also dietary cuisine.

These include a variety of side dishes, steamed vegetables, oatmeal, chicken soups, pureed soups, milk, natural juices, fruit puree. You can refresh yourself at the beginning of a new day with muesli, yogurt and breakfast cereals. Well, for tea there are absolutely magical puddings and delicate desserts.

Adults prefer the distant beach for a full swim. Here the sea is deeper and there is more civilization - there are many bars, cafes, and seafood shops on the shore. Sun loungers and luggage storage are provided free of charge.

Location and surroundings

Diamond Bay attracts not only with its high level of service, but also with its convenient location: 15 minutes by bus or taxi from the airport and the same amount to the center of Nha Trang resort.

There is quite a rich infrastructure around. A few steps away are two shops with essential goods, a pharmacy, fruit and vegetable shops. Many people sell local cosmetics, souvenirs and items with a Vietnamese flavor, which are perfect as gifts for family and friends.

Those who like tasty and inexpensive food, as well as entertainment, should go to the center of the resort city on the free shuttle bus. Beautiful green area. The room was quite clean, towels were changed daily, snow-white bed linen. Quite a varied breakfast, but Asian dishes predominate. In general, a good hotel for a relaxing family holiday. The problem with entertainment can be solved very simply: a free bus runs daily from the hotel to Nha Trang.

When arriving at the Dimod Bay Resort - Spa hotel complex, prepare for the fact that you are paying not for the service but for the surroundings: it is good, the territory is very beautiful, there is a large swimming pool, although with hot water, your fingers will swell, the rooms at first glance are not bad, but when you go into The bathroom unit has this picture: the toilet seat is yellow, it is not clear from old age or from ingrained urine (tin), the tile seams are gray-yellow from water and mold, and after taking a shower there is water on the floor, because the joint between the bathtub and the wall is not coated with sealant , the bathtub is shabby, you can’t sit on your butt, it’s not pleasant, the water doesn’t drain well even after visiting a plumber, as for the restaurant: the food is delicious, the portions are good prices, three times more than in city restaurants, plus some kind of 15% fee for the service, but when they brought the tea there was a shock, the tap water stank of chlorine (as if it had been taken from a swimming pool) and a bag of Dilma tea for a liter teapot, with a string wrapped around the handle, while in Vietnam there are tea plantations and very tasty ones, and this is a 5 star hotel, for the money you pay should be very clean, and in general, even a room for 1000 rubles should have a clean bathroom, and a restaurant with tea bags should be a cafe or shish kebab! It is clear that everything there is designed for clients on a tour package, but we booked everything ourselves, and this was the first time we saw such five stars😬. Oh, and you will have to go to the store, to the city every other day, for water, etc., if you are a budget tourist, then the local restaurant is very expensive.

Flights to the center and to the beach were canceled, leaving only 2 flights with extremely inconvenient times. Be ready for changes in the shuttle schedule. 1) The bus shuttle schedule to the city center has been changed from 5 times/day to 2 times/day that caused a lot of inconvenience for me. 14:00 & 16:00 pm -> Nga Trang center 17:30 & 20:00 pm -> Hotel 2) The shuttle vehicle schedule to the beach has been changed from each hour interval to 2 times/day. 6:30 am -> beach / 8:30 am -> hotel 16:00 pm -> beach / 17:30 pm -> hotel Taking into account that the beach on the hotel territory is not for swimming, the only option is the Nhu Tien beach. It"s about 20 minutes walk. It"s a torture to walk in the sun and dangerous to your health. 3)The bungalow pictures are out-of-date. According to the pictures provided it should be a small outdoor pool, but there wasn"t. I think it"s misleading and cheating! You pay extra money for a facility than doesn't exist anymore because the hotel couldn't afford to fill bungalow's swimming pools.

Once upon a time it was a 5-star luxury hotel. I don’t know whether hurricanes, economic problems or the reluctance of the owners to develop the business are to blame, but now this is, at a stretch, a 3-star mediocre hotel. Of the three restaurants, 1.5 are open. The food is mostly not tasty. Breakfast is not 5 stars for sure. The service is extremely slow. The staff is still trying to keep up the brand, but not all of them. There is no beach, there is some kind of swamp, instead of a normal sea. Overall impressions are a C grade. Although it's cheap. This should have scared me off, but I thought that everything was cheap in Vietnam) in short, you can’t compare it with Shangri-la or Hayat

The rude and arrogant Russian-speaking employees at the reception, I recommend that you resolve issues through their Vietnamese colleagues, I assure you, in this case all your problems will be solved. The air conditioners in the bungalows work very poorly (very old), the bungalows were changed twice due to the fact that it was impossible to stay indoors during the day, imagine how much you wanted coolness after visiting the hot beach, as a result - two days of vacation were completely ruined, because instead of relaxing were involved in resolving technical issues: searching for working air conditioners in bungalows, waiting for the bungalow to be prepared (putting in questionable order), moving, etc. They called an engineer (repairman) before lunch, they called back from the reception only in the evening, when the heat had already subsided, they asked the question - is another engineer needed or not anymore? When they changed the bungalow, they promised to call back when they put things in order in the other bungalow, but in the end no one called back (is this a 5-star level?). Food is very expensive, 3-4 times more expensive compared to Nha Trang, and also not particularly tasty. The transfer is organized in the most disgusting way, it is especially sad to watch how the buses are being loaded onto the penultimate and last bus to the hotel, there is a catastrophic shortage of seats and everyone is swearing. We were glad to move out of this hell and move to a hotel in Nachanga.

The hotel area is gorgeous, there is a wonderful beach, but that’s where all the positives end.

The shuttles to the distant beach were cancelled, so it was not always possible to swim there. And that beach is better for swimming than the hotel pool. There were two shuttles a day, once we managed to board it, but many vacationers were left without a seat and rode standing on the back step and holding onto the handrail, which was not safe. The second time he didn’t arrive on time, we walked, but the shuttle was coming towards us, he didn’t take us, he waved back in a friendly manner, although there were empty seats. It’s a pity that we learned about the cancellation on the day of arrival, and not in advance.

The far beach is simply terrible, I don’t recommend going there, it’s impossible to swim there - dirty water, dirty beach (garbage and seaweed), wherever you don’t step - there’s seaweed everywhere, due to the waves and garbage the water is muddy, there was only one massage shop and it was early (about 17.00 h) closed, we really regretted that we went to the distant beach and wasted time instead of swimming in the hotel pool. The trolley goes to the distant beach twice a day, before and after lunch; on the first trip it couldn’t accommodate everyone, so we had to wait for it to come back for us. Also, in the evening we ordered a kitchen knife for fruit, one of the workers brought it and pounded loudly on the door with the handle of the knife, we were even scared, although the bell works, maybe that’s their custom. There is no trade on or near the hotel, so guests are forced to travel into the city. At the reception area, my wife left her hat somewhere, and they couldn’t find it, so I had to leave Vietnam without a hat))

we were at the hotel on the last one day of our stay in Nha Trang. I especially liked the green area of the hotel, the friendly staff, although we didn’t notice much difference from other hotels in the city, the wonderful pool and surroundings, the delicious and varied breakfast. The former greatness of the hotel is 5 stars, in fact, in my opinion, 4 stars, old, shabby rooms, in some places moldy tiles in the bathroom, rooms are periodically cleaned, it happens at lunchtime, when the child is sleeping, there is a children's playroom, but there is nothing for children to do there, everything is old and dead, there is no children's playground. Kitchen - breakfasts are meager, there is no children's menu at all... no porridge, no boiled chicken, steamed cutlets or children's sausages... nothing at all. Transfer to the city and especially back to the hotel until 01.05. 19 was simply terrible, people were jostling like in the good old days of the USSR, not paying attention to parents with young children, post 01.05 it became better, registration by appointment, Transfer to a distant and good beach from 01.05. became only twice a day at 06.00 and 16.00, the rest of the time it was 800 meters on foot in the heat, although previously the transfer was every 30 minutes. Swimming is not allowed at the nearby beach. Depth 30-40 cm and muddy bottom with shells.

The location is good, large well-kept area, good swimming pool, friendly staff.

The hotel is located far from the beach. About 1 km. The beach on site is not suitable for swimming at all. It's knee-deep there! And the hotel area is located in a bay, so there is no wind. Very hot.

The hotel is green, large and beautiful. The city is easily and quickly accessible. The far beach is good, there are many sun loungers. We rented a bungalow. If someone is going to overpay for proximity to the sea, then there is no need to rush. It will only be a view, not a swim. Swim in any case on the far beach. But the bungalows themselves are very cool. The 20 sq.m bathroom is love))) the staff constantly cleans and changes towels.

Russian managers. Responsiveness and friendliness - level zero. Especially Alexey. He's directly doing you a favor by doing his job. When asked to change the bungalow, because it is very close to the pool and restaurant and, accordingly, it is quite crowded, he answered literally the following: “This is not a reason. We don’t mess around with rooms here.” And then: “Well, come back in two hours.” In my opinion, this attitude towards guests is the height of unprofessionalism. I hope that Diamond Bay will read my review and work with the staff. By the way, when she came over two hours later, the manager Nina did not see any particular problem in changing the number and offered options, although not too kindly either. In the end, they didn’t change it, because... no suitable options were found. There are not enough shuttles going to the city and to the beach. Always packed to capacity. Cleaning is so-so, without much effort. The area is mostly unkempt, although very beautiful. The far beach is dirty. Towels are provided once for the whole day.

Large territory. Spacious bungalow. Check-in immediately upon arrival, without waiting for the check-in time established at the hotel. Varied breakfast. Private beach. Instead of a cash deposit, you can leave your passport as collateral for the duration of your stay.

The only thing I didn’t like was that it was uncomfortable to swim on the nearby beach. Well, from time to time, too noisy groups of tourists from China disturbed us a little.

A calm and safe environment throughout the well-equipped, beautiful and very clean hotel area, extremely friendly staff, a nice clean room in a bungalow overlooking the sea, a good swimming pool, a good gym, European dishes on the menu and good restaurant cuisine.

The hotel is essentially a big screen for a beautiful prison. Everything is ok, but behind the fence it’s quiet and quiet. There is nowhere to buy fruits and everything else, the option is a city with a loss of mines. half a day. Its own beach is terrible, there are no words here, the distant beach is good, but how it relates to the hotel is not clear. On the far beach, team building activities for local and Chinese guests are held every day with wild noise. The last shuttle is at 17.00, after which they carefully drive you away from the beach. The staff in some places does not know either English or Russian. Shuttle drivers stop to pick up guests only at their discretion. Doesn't feel like a solid 5 stars.

The hotel does not qualify for 5*, the services and attitude of the staff are maximum 3-4*. The food in the restaurants is bland, they don’t know how to cook. Even my not picky eater husband couldn't eat their pizza at the pool restaurant. The menu is poor, there is nothing to choose from. At breakfast, the food remains virtually unchanged for 3 days, the fruits are the same and the choice is strange: passion fruit, unripe papaya, tangerines and dragon fruit. I don’t envy those who vacation there for more than 5 days. The discount voucher for the spa turned out to be just a piece of paper; the discount did not apply to the service we liked. When leaving the hotel we were asked to order a taxi to Nha Trang, we were given a hotel car. They showed us the address, agreed on the price of the trip, he took us 2 km from the address, and extorted more money for correct delivery. True, he was unlucky with us... In general, in this hotel, electric car drivers feel like masters and mock the guests. If I want, I’ll take you, if I don’t want, you’ll ride on a narrow bar at the back of the car. It's time to change the hotel manager. Only staff travel around the territory in electric cars; they do not want to give guests a lift to their place of residence, even with heavy bags after trips to the city. Only upon check-in and check-out, if you call yourself. The room contains information about the hotel, but such information is not needed in principle. But there is no information about the opening hours of the pool, how to get and return beach towels, where electric cars are parked on the beach. The information received upon check-in was somewhat incorrect and had to be clarified. In short, there is a problem with staff and management.

I chose the hotel based on certain room criteria, so the room suited us quite well. True, if there were a bunch of available rooms of the same type, they gave us a view of the wall (the only one). The area is beautiful and large, the beach is wonderful (distant). There are always a lot of free sun loungers. On my birthday, I was congratulated with a cake and a piece of paper with the name of a voucher for a discount at the spa. There are 2 changes of towels daily, there are shaving accessories, toothbrushes, a comb, and cotton swabs. I liked the bathroom, it depends on the room category.

The furniture and plumbing are old. The curtain rod was poorly secured. There were feelings that I might not be able to stand it.
