Hello everyone. I want to dedicate today’s video to the topic of what you can bring from Poland as a gift.

When I—it was about a month ago—was getting ready to go to Ukraine, naturally, I had the following question: what should I bring from Poland? And you know, for some reason I was confused. I haven’t been to Ukraine for a year and a half and didn’t know what exactly to bring, what to eat there, what would be healthy, what would be tasty, what would be interesting. And of course, I wanted to bring a Polish product, something that was made in Poland. And then I made a video in which I asked the Poles, but not only the Poles, but those people who travel to Ukraine from Poland, to say what they bring and what they like best here. Thanks to everyone who responded and wrote about Polish stamps. That's why I'm leaving a link to that video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qsyxejxfNo4&t=0s) so that you read every comment. I won’t retell them now, but I’ll tell you what I was carrying. But I also advise you to read the comments under that video, because a lot of people responded and a lot of people wrote good advice.

The first thing I want to say is that Polish goods are numbered and marked, that is, the first 3 digits of the barcode that is on each product show in which country this or that product was manufactured. This means that the Polish numbers are “590” (5 and 90), according to them I chose a Polish product. I looked at the barcode to understand, because the range of products is huge. I was at a loss as to what exactly to bring, so I was looking for a Polish product to bring.

For shopping, I visited Auchan, LIDL, Carrefour, IKEA stores. And everywhere I tried to buy something for each person, to choose some kind of gift.

When I came from the store, I filmed a little what I bought, so at the end of this video you will not only hear what I bought, but also see it (I will show how I packed my suitcase, what I put in it).

Now I’ll tell you in words about the purchases. I bought Polish tea. There are such Polish fruit teas, I bought them as gifts. I also bought the Inka cereal drink, it is suitable for children from 3 years old and for adults who, for example, have heart problems and do not drink coffee because of this. This drink has a coffee taste and is even healthy because it is made from rye and barley grains.

There is also a plant called chicory, you may know, from the roots of which the drink of the same name is made. But chicory is bitter and tasteless; chicory takes a lot of getting used to. And the Inka drink actually tastes like coffee, and it's not bitter; You make it with milk – and it’s great! That's why I bought this drink for gifts too.

What other food items did I buy? Naturally, I did not carry Polish apples - I simply would not have had enough of a single suitcase or hands to carry Polish apples. But I was bringing other Polish products. I bought kabanosy (wild boars). By the way, they were recommended to me in the comments. Kabanosy are such long thin sausages. I was told that this is a product that you should definitely bring if you have visited Poland, because they love these sausages here and make them in different flavors. In general, I tried to bring everyone a pack of similar products so that people could try what it is.

I also brought different types of cheese: brie, mozzarella, dorblu, that is, I carried a small piece of different cheese, which in Ukraine is very, very expensive. Not everyone can afford such cheese. In Poland, these cheeses are sold at an affordable price, and they are delicious here. And in general, I like dairy products here much better, so I brought cheeses to Ukraine.

Poland is a wonderful country to live. This is one of the EU countries where it is easiest to emigrate.

Programmers, designers, photographers and other creative professions who work for themselves have a unique opportunity to receive Residence permit in Poland for 3 years and pay minimal taxes.

Adults can get a new specialty (cook, hairdresser, makeup artist, massage therapist, etc.) in

One of the most important points of the tourist program is buying souvenirs for family and friends. The search for memorable trinkets can turn into real torture and many hours of wandering between counters, so it is best to find out in advance what a particular country is famous for, so that when you travel, you will know what to look for. For those who travel to Poland on their own and cannot find out everything from a guide, we have compiled a small cheat sheet about the main souvenirs of this country.

Alcohol. Needless to say, the first thing our compatriots bring back from their travels is alcoholic beverages. In the case of Poland, there is a lot to choose from. The two most famous strong drinks are Zubrovka vodka and Goldwasser liqueur. Zubrovka is so called because of the grass on whose stems it is infused. Thanks to its recipe, the drink has a tart taste and aroma and is believed to help digest food better. A bottle of zubrovka is inexpensive and will be an excellent gift for any man. By the way, Poles drink it by mixing it with apple juice. Goldwasser is considered an elite drink, and there are pieces of real gold floating in the bottle (don’t worry, scientists have proven that gold is not a toxic metal and does not cause harm to the body, so you can safely try this drink and take it to your family and friends). Goldwasser is infused with anise, so it has a characteristic taste and aroma. Also from Poland you can bring gzhanes (dessert wine, it is customary to drink it with the addition of spices) and drinking honey, somewhat reminiscent of mead.

Products. We've all heard of Krakow sausage, and it's a must-have souvenir from Poland. The so-called “boars” are very tasty - meat products similar to hunting sausages. It is also worth bringing home Polish cheese made from goat's and sheep's milk - oscypek. This cheese tastes good and has a long shelf life, so it is not afraid of transportation. Honey cookies, which can be found in all grocery stores or at the market, will be a wonderful gift for children and adults.

Boleslav ceramics. These ceramic products have been produced in the southwest of the country since the 15th century. Thanks to its painting, Boleslav ceramics are somewhat reminiscent of Gzhel. During the production process, all products are fired in a hot oven, which makes them durable and functional. Among the ceramic products you can find not only pleasant trinkets, but also functional gifts for the kitchen and home.

Amber. Poland is famous for its amber mining, and the city of Gdansk is considered the world's amber capital, so jewelry made from this stone, such as a ring, pendant or earrings, will be an excellent gift for any woman. Kitchen products and decorative souvenir figurines are also sold here. Do not forget that prices for amber are not the lowest, and many retail outlets, wanting to attract tourists with low prices, offer fakes.

Salt products. The Wieliczka Salt Mine fills Polish shelves with all sorts of salt products. Salt therapy, as you know, is a very useful procedure and can significantly improve your health. Therefore, it makes sense to bring salt lamps from Poland (when heated, they act as an air ionizer, purifying it and having a positive effect on human health), bath salts and any other salt products.

Wool and fur. In Poland, the livestock industry, namely sheep breeding, is particularly developed, and therefore here you will find a wide variety of all kinds of wool, fur and leather products, very warm and durable. At local bazaars and fairs the cost of such products is not too high. Leather and fur items can be found here, including children's sizes. Pay attention to the Hutsul fur. Unusually hard carpets, soft house shoes and sheep's wool vests are very popular.

Wooden Toys. A wooden toy would be an excellent gift for any child (and adult). The windows of souvenir shops and market stalls with hanging toys look very attractive. These souvenirs are made by hand and are of high quality.

Gnome. Local residents believe in the legend that gnomes live on all the streets of Poland, and to meet them you just need to be a little more attentive. Therefore, the souvenir shops of this country are full of figurines of gnomes in various types, poses and moods. A great inexpensive and distinctive gift!

In this article, we have listed the main Polish products that Poland can delight you and your loved ones with even after your trip is over. But the most important thing you should bring home with you is a great mood, a mood for new achievements and a lot of great photos!

No matter what restrictions the Belarusian government imposes on foreign shopping, residents of this country still prefer to shop in neighboring Poland. There are many reasons for this: regular sales and discounts, a wide range of goods and their high quality, as well as the opportunity to return value added tax in most stores, the amounts of which are sometimes quite impressive. Belarusian shopaholic tourists from among the readers of our portal talk about what is profitable to buy in Poland.

Nikolay, 41 years old, Pinsk

We have been going to Poland for shopping for many years. It's almost like a family tradition. Before restrictions on the weight of goods were introduced, we traveled every month. Now less often - once every two to three months. In order to be able to buy more in total weight, my wife and son take turns riding. Most often we buy household chemicals and detergents. My wife likes Polish cosmetics. We also buy clothes and shoes in Poland. It is, if not much cheaper, then much better quality. All other purchases are different every time. For example, we recently bought a microwave oven and an electric meat grinder at the MediaMarkt store. In total, we saved 60 USD on just these two goods, thereby paying for our trip. Among the products we buy in Poland are cheeses, red fish, sweets, and always juices and seasonings. That's probably all. Each time it comes out at least 60-65 kilograms.

Elena, 31 years old, Minsk

From Minsk to Bialystok it’s almost 350 km, so I don’t go to Poland often - once every three months. But I always type a lot. I have two children: a 7-year-old son and a 4-year-old daughter. Therefore, children's clothing and shoes are first on the shopping list. I buy mainly at sales in large shopping centers and Atrium Biala. I don’t go to the market, it seems to me that a lot of things are cheaper in stores. I also buy cosmetics, perfume, and household chemicals for home. Last year in Poland I collected a briefcase for my first-grader and saved twice as much. If I travel on the eve of the holidays, I buy dishes, textiles, and household goods for gifts. I don’t buy household appliances because... I don’t understand much about it. Sometimes I buy vitamins for myself and my children.

Sergey, 53 years old, Grodno

I usually travel to Bialystok for work, so shopping is not my first priority. But I still go to some stores. Usually the spouse makes a list, and all purchases are strictly according to it. Since I travel often, I can’t carry much. Basically - something for the home. In this regard, I like small shops like Carrefour, Biedronka. There are always few people there, often many goods are on discount and you can order cotton wool. My parents are very elderly people, so I often bring them the necessary medicines from Poland. Many of them are cheaper, others simply do not exist in Belarus. Sometimes my wife goes with me. She buys clothes for me and herself, shoes. For example, in the fall we saved a decent amount on winter things. So we are planning to refresh our wardrobe for spring. Sometimes I buy spare parts for cars, they are also cheaper here.

Vladimir, 29 years old, Slonim

I am currently building a house, so all my purchases are mainly related to this. Building materials, wallpaper, repair tools, furniture, household appliances - this is how my purchases can be described in a nutshell. True, after the introduction of restrictions, I have to be very careful about such purchases: I make sure that there is no excess, I declare everything necessary. Sometimes my friends go with me, then I can buy a little more. I rarely buy clothes and shoes, I don’t like to spend a long time choosing, and in Polish shopping centers my eyes run wild. I usually go into any one and take what I immediately liked. I rarely look at the price: I know that ours is still more expensive.

Marina, 48 years old, Slutsk

I've only been to Poland a couple of times so far. I noticed that it is more profitable to buy household chemicals and children's products there. At my daughter’s request, I was bringing diapers to my granddaughter. They turned out to be almost three times cheaper than in Belarus. In Bialystok they bought a baby stroller at the market. Initially, the price was not much lower than ours. But after returning VAT, the purchase turned out to be very profitable. I bought textiles at the market: bed linen, curtains, rugs. Very large selection and lower prices. I don’t understand brands, so the simpler for me, the better. The main thing is that you like the look and fit in size. I bought dishes and sets of pots for myself and my daughter. At the RTVevroAGD household appliances store in Auсhan, my husband and I bought a TV and a vacuum cleaner. I am planning to buy a dishwasher for my home. The main thing is that it matches the weight. In general, shopping there is, of course, more profitable, but there are so many goods that you get lost. Therefore, it is better to have at least some wish list with you. Otherwise it is very difficult to stop.
