What to take to the sea. What do you need to take with you to the sea? Things for a holiday at sea

We decided to go to the seaside and the question immediately arises: “What things to take with you to the seaside?” What will you need and what should you not take? We will answer all these questions in this article and provide you with a ready-made list of things to take with you to the sea.

The list of things will be slightly different depending on how you are going to get to the sea - by your personal transport, by train or by plane.

It is necessary to familiarize yourself with the climate of the place where you are going. If you are flying by plane and will be staying in a hotel, then you will not need the dishes or will only need them to a minimum; it’s a different matter if you are traveling by car.

Open a notepad on your smartphone or take a simple paper notepad and write down the things you will take with you. This technique will help you not only pack all your things for a trip, but also pack your things back. To make your search easier, divide everything into categories.

Documents and money required for the trip

  • Passports, one might say, are the most important and most often forgotten thing.
  • Tickets (plane, train, bus)
  • Medical policy, health insurance
  • Printout of hotel reservation, vouchers, documents from travel agency
  • Photos for visa (if needed)
  • Consent to take the child abroad. This will be required if only one of the parents is going on vacation with the child.
  • Cash in a currency that can be exchanged for local currency. Exchange a small amount in small bills.
  • Bank cards (Master card is better for Europe, Visa for America and Asian countries)

Clothing for a trip to the sea for women, men and children

An interesting fact is that many things that we bring on vacation end up being unnecessary. In order not to carry unnecessary things, take the most necessary ones; clothing should be appropriate for the weather and type of vacation. Clothing should be such that it fits together and does not wrinkle. If you are traveling to another country, read the article ""

Clothes for women

  • Underwear
  • Socks
  • Swimsuit. Just in case, it’s better to have two, in case one gets lost, breaks, etc.
  • Shorts. Shorts are a universal type of clothing; you can wear them to the beach and walk in the city (not in Muslim countries)
  • The skirt can be worn for walking.
  • Mikey. Choose T-shirts that go with both shorts and skirts.
  • Hat, Panama, cap. Having a hat is a must when in the sun, this will protect you from possible sunstroke.
  • Dress. We recommend taking one dress.
  • Jeans. Jeans will save you if the weather is bad or raining. But there is no point in taking more than one pair of them, as they take up a lot of space and add extra weight to your suitcase.
  • Long sleeve sweatshirt or sweatshirt. Just like jeans, a jacket will save you in bad weather or from strong air conditioning in transport.
  • Flip-flops, sandals and sneakers. You should not take sandals with high heels, as if you are relaxing on a busy program, your feet will hurt very much. Sneakers or ballet flats, the choice is yours. It’s better, of course, to take ballet flats as they take up much less space.
  • Pajamas. Do you still need pajamas is the big question...

Clothes for men

  • Swimming trunks
  • Shorts
  • Flip-flops
  • Underwear
  • Socks
  • T-shirts. You should also take T-shirts to a minimum, but keep in mind that it is hot at sea and a person sweats more intensely.
  • Panama hat or cap. Good protection against sunstroke.
  • Jeans
  • A sweatshirt or sweatshirt. Although you go to the sea, it sometimes happens that it is very cold at night or the air conditioners in transport work too hard
  • Sneakers
  • Shoes. In case you are planning celebrations or going to visit restaurants with Dress code.
  • Dress shirt. Take as shoes as needed. Short sleeve shirt to be comfortable and not hot.

Children's clothing

  • Swimming trunks and/or swimsuits.
  • Underwear
  • Socks
  • Jeans
  • Shorts
  • T-shirts
  • Dress - for girls
  • Skirt + top – for girls
  • Panama hat or baseball cap
  • Long Sleeve Jacket
  • Light pajamas
  • Sneakers
  • Flip-flops. A good solution for the beach and walks.
  • Sandals.

First aid kit for a trip to the sea

  • Activated carbon
  • Remedies for stomach pain
  • Heartburn remedy
  • Medical alcohol
  • Zelenka or iodine
  • Band-Aid
  • Painkiller

Cosmetics and hygiene products

  • Face and hand cream
  • Body lotion
  • Mascara, shadows, pencil
  • Lip gloss or lipstick
  • Small manicure set with file, polish and nail polish remover
  • Toothpaste and brush
  • Shampoo and shower gel
  • Washcloth
  • Razor
  • Personal care products
  • Hair comb

Sunscreens

  • To prevent your vacation from quickly developing into excruciating pain from sunburn, you need to take care of protection in advance.
  • Enhanced protection sunscreen
  • Medium protection sunscreen
  • Sunburn Cream (Aloe with Vitamin E)
  • Sunglasses with UV protection or polarized glasses with anti-glare protection.

Electronic equipment for a trip to the sea

  • Mobile phone
  • Mobile charger
  • Power Bank is a portable charger, very necessary when traveling as phones run out of charge very quickly in travel mode
  • “Selfie stick” or mini tripods will help you take photos without asking passers-by
  • Camera or action camera charging and accessories for them
  • Tablet
  • Laptop or netbook
  • Headphones. Small travel headphones will do

Things for the beach

  • Mat-bedspread. It will be useful for you on the beach so as not to buy paid sun loungers.
  • Swimming ring or vest for children and those who are poor swimmers
  • Beach bag
  • Swimming mask, swimming goggles, fins, hand wraps, snorkel

All the rest

  • Inflatable neck pillow for travel
  • Glasses or contact lenses with lens cleaner (for those who need it)
  • Umbrella or plastic raincoats, the latter will not take up much space
  • Jewelry and decorations. It is better, of course, not to take extra jewelry, since quite often they are stolen or lost. Why spoil your vacation!?
  • Insect repellents. Bug spray is fine.
  • Toys for children

Everyday work is over, tickets and vouchers are already ready, long-awaited vacation days filled with sun, sound of the surf and carefree fun are ahead... All that remains is to solve one important question: what clothes and accessories to take with you to look great on the beach and in the cafe by the pool?

A-line dresses

Beach wear

Leave the restrained tones and the usual strict styles; clothes for a holiday at sea should be bright, comfortable, matching the vacation mood. Before packing your suitcase, think about and make a list of what you will need - this will save you from unnecessary things in your luggage. Choose clothes made from natural fabrics with a small admixture of elastane - such things practically do not wrinkle, and you will not have to waste precious minutes of your rest manipulating the iron.

Maxi length

The list of things necessary for the beach and sunbathing is quite simple: several items that go well with each other and bright accessories will make up a wardrobe for a vacation on the seaside.

Topping the list of beach essentials is, of course. It is worth taking at least two different models with you:

  • Bright bikini for sunbathing.
  • A comfortable swimsuit with minimal trimmings for swimming in the sea.
  • A sophisticated one-piece swimsuit or monokini for pool parties.

By taking one or two different styles, you can tan more evenly. For example, alternate a two-strap bodice with a bandeau or loop top, or a high- or low-cut bottom.

choose based on the characteristics of your figure: suits for the beach should emphasize your advantages and hide small imperfections from prying eyes. Beach photos of models will help you choose the right style: choose the one that is closer to your body type and try on a similar swimsuit.

If your figure is close, with a decorated bodice and high-thigh cut bottoms. Take a look at the beach photos - the unusual decoration of the top of the swimsuit draws attention to the chest, and the bikini bottoms visually enhance the bottom, making it lighter and more graceful.

It’s worth paying attention to one-piece swimsuits with draping on the stomach: this is what corpulent beauties appear in photos. But girls with an “inverted triangle” type figure for the beach should take into account photos of swimsuits with straps around the neck and classic swimming trunks with ties.

Swimwear for full figures

Whatever model you choose, pay attention to the quality - salty sea water and the scorching sun are merciless to cheap fabrics and will instantly deprive a low-quality swimsuit of its aesthetic appearance.

Pareo alternatives

Not only the usual pareo can complement a swimsuit: a light translucent caftan and a lace tunic look more stylish and relevant.

Beach romance

Dresses

A list of clothes for a vacation on the seaside is unthinkable without a couple of dresses: at a minimum, you need to take with you a flared skirt for walks around the city and a bright dress for evening trips to a restaurant - it will fit perfectly into your vacation wardrobe and will adorn women with any body type. with or without short sleeves and a deep neckline.

Time for bright dresses and sundresses

Evening solutions

If your suitcase allows, you can also take a classic safari dress with you - it’s convenient to make excursions and long walks through souvenir shops.

Safari dress

Don’t rule out that you can use dresses in urban looks in the summer.

Shoes

The list of shoes needed by the sea includes at least three pairs:

  • Flip-flops or flip-flops for the beach.
  • Comfortable bright sandals or sneakers.
  • Beautiful sandals with comfortable heels for special occasions.

Shoes for summer sets

When deciding what shoes to take with you, give preference to those pairs that you have already worn at least several times, so that uncomfortable lasts and blisters do not overshadow your vacation.

Shorts, skirts, tops

The list of things needed at sea continues with tops, blouses, skirts, etc. A beach wardrobe will be complemented by several well-combined and interchangeable wardrobe items made from light fabrics.

Sets with shorts

By complementing them with accessories, you will create completely different looks. For example, a light blouse and skirt are suitable for breakfast at a hotel, and, complementing them with high-heeled sandals and a bright massive necklace, you will create an elegant and at the same time casual evening look.

Check out the photos of the current season's cruise collections from fashion houses - you will certainly get some ideas for yourself.

Hats

The list of things for the beach cannot but include hats: with their help you will not only diversify your wardrobe, but also protect your head from the scorching rays of the sun.
Women of any age will be pleased with a straw hat: choose the style and length of the brim in accordance with your face type. Look for photos of the latest models in glossy magazines and fashion blogs.

A beautifully tied scarf in the shape of a turban will save your curls from ultraviolet radiation; a Panama hat, the main headdress for the beach, will also cope with the same task. Fans can wear a baseball cap as a headdress.

Outerwear

It's worth adding a light jacket or cotton raincoat to your holiday wardrobe in case of bad weather.

Outerwear for travel

You can also take a summer coat or a long cardigan that will keep you company. Choose bright colors that go well with other items in your luggage.

Accessories

The list of necessary items on the seashore is completed by accessories. A resort on the coast is an excellent opportunity to diversify your wardrobe with bright, unusual, eye-catching jewelry.

Time for bright accessories

Jewelry made from shells and semi-precious stones, wood and metal in ethnic style will decorate the holiday wardrobe of women of any age.

Accessories for the sea

You should definitely take several pairs of sunglasses on vacation by the sea: they will not only protect your eyes from the negative effects of ultraviolet radiation, but will also diversify your daily looks.

Bright color and print

Remember, vacation is the best time to experiment with style; don’t be afraid to try on new looks. A properly assembled vacation wardrobe will help make your vacation by the sea unforgettable: bright, positive and sunny!

What to take to the sea?
It seems that this skirt, and those slippers, and that disk are vitally important on a trip. As a result, the suitcase swells to enormous sizes and does not close.
Minimum things needed!

Not forget!!!
Passport (foreign passport), tickets, insurance, hotel reservation (trip, voucher), money, credit cards. Make sure that your passport contains a visa (for traveling abroad) and that your insurance covers all events that may occur. It is also worth stocking up on the address and phone numbers of the embassy if you are going on vacation to another country.

List by category.

1. Items of clothing and footwear:
- a couple of changes of underwear
- swimsuit (2)
- skirt/shorts (2 pcs.)
- T-shirt, T-shirt, top (2-3 pcs.) and T-shirt (T-shirt) with long sleeves (1 pc.)
- jeans and trousers made of light fabric
- sweater (in case of cold weather)
- socks (2 pairs)

Think about where you will go.
If there are any evening activities planned (clubs, parties), take something for them.
For such exits, you should not take half the cabinet. A pair of bright blouses (or an evening top) that will harmonize well with existing skirts or trousers, as well as spectacular jewelry, will be enough. For men, it seems to me that there is no need to take anything special. Jeans, a light shirt or T-shirt are the best look for a beach party.
If you have the desire and space in your suitcase, you can add beautiful sandals for evening outings to a disco or bar.

Shoes to take with you to the sea:
- beach shoes (flip-flops or flip-flops or sandals)
- light shoes for outdoors and excursions

2. Hygiene products:
- Toothbrush
- soap
- shower gel/shampoo
- towel, one large and one medium
- sanitary pads or tampons
- wipes, regular and wet
- shaving products

3. Cosmetics:
- decorative cosmetics (it is better to take waterproof ones and you don’t need to take a lot of decorative cosmetics, in the heat it only prevents the skin from breathing).
- creams before, from, for, after tanning
- milk or cream to moisturize the skin

4. Miscellaneous:
- camera/video camera
- telephone
- chargers for the above
- Sunglasses
- headdress
- Beach bag
- travel wallet
- comb
- hair accessories

What to take with you to the sea from medicines
A first aid kit with a minimum set should also be at hand, especially in exotic places.
The required set includes:
- band-aid (excursions always involve a lot of walking)
- headache tablets
- cotton wool and bandages
- Activated carbon
- hydrogen peroxide
- from diarrhea
And, of course, if you are allergic to something or have any diseases, take medicine for them as well.

So let's get down to business. We sort things in this way (each item has its own bag): shoes, underwear, wrinkled items, wrinkle-free items, trousers (fold along the seam and in half twice).
We choose a container - a suitcase or a travel bag.

At the bottom there are shoes, in the gaps between them there are socks and underwear, rolled into rollers, then those gadgets that are not included in hand luggage and will not be needed to our destination. All remaining items, except trousers, are folded in a stack in an unfolded form so that those that wrinkle are separated by two or three items of clothing that do not wrinkle (the shirts will thus end up in the middle). The filling of this unique sandwich will be trousers. Now all that remains is to cross the sleeves at the front, fold the entire structure in half and put it in the suitcase.

On the side there will be space for a travel bag (French necessaire, literally - necessary), 1) a travel case or a small suitcase with toiletries. 2) A box with a set of accessories for needlework or sewing), which must be placed so that it is easy to use when necessary.

Master class on packing for a trip - we share years of accumulated wisdom and personal life hacks! We determine what to take with you on a vacation trip so that you can travel light, but still have everything you need at hand. We make a list of necessary things and think through options for difficult situations (for example, loss of documents). We separately tell you what to take your child on a trip.

Since we travel often, we have already gotten the hang of packing backpacks so that we don’t have to regret the extra pounds on our backs. In this article we will present the minimum of things that we take with us on vacation - regardless of whether the trip is planned for a long or a short one. We’ll also tell you about some life hacks and give tips on how best to pack your things and not forget anything before the trip.

Preparing for your trip

No matter how experienced a traveler you are, don’t leave everything until the last day - start preparing for your vacation in advance. Sometimes it is better to do this much in advance if the trip is planned not for a week, but for a much longer period. Choosing insurance, developing a route, obtaining visas, booking accommodation, studying information about the country (prices, food, transport, etc.), buying currency and resolving issues with bank cards - all this will take a lot of time.

We also recommend making a list of things for your trip in advance: take a sheet of paper, divide it into categories and write down everything that comes to mind. Write down everything you remember for one or two days - this way you will definitely not forget a single little thing. Checked! You can use special smartphone apps, but we prefer a regular notepad. Once compiled, the list can subsequently be used many times, using it as a basis - only minor details will change.

What to take with you on vacation?

Cards, money, documents

The first and most important thing you need to take with you on a trip is documents and money. This is the most important thing when traveling - keep it close to your heart. It is better to have a small handbag or backpack that you will always carry with you and take in your hand luggage when flying.

So, what to take with you on vacation:

  1. Foreign passports and their copies. In general, keep copies of all documents on your phone, flash drive, cloud storage/virtual drive, or email - but it’s better to play it safe and choose several options at once. These copies may be needed if the originals are lost.
  2. hotel/apartment reservations.
  3. Prints and electronic versions air tickets.
  4. Prints and electronic versions insurance. Don’t forget a vaccination certificate, if required (for example, a number of African countries will not allow you to enter without an original yellow fever vaccination certificate).
  5. Bank cards(it’s better to have several cards and accounts from different banks). Life hack: keep money in accounts, not on cards, and transfer money via online banking immediately before withdrawal (preferably using a VPN, we’ll talk about this below). In this case, if the card is stolen, it will be empty, since all the money will be stored in the account.
  6. Some cash. Cash should always be at hand - and in the currency of the country where you are. For example, during our trip we twice forgot to exchange the euros we had for local dirhams in advance, because of this we had to dodge at the right moment to exchange currency - once late in the evening in Casablanca from street money changers through the mediation of the police, the second - also in the evening , only this time in the Sahara near the Algerian border with the residents of the village where we were supposed to spend the night.
  7. Small format notebook with your notes and notes, pen and pencil. It can be used for communication and bargaining.
  8. It won't hurt either phrasebook.
  9. Download to your mobile phone or tablet programs with offline maps, for example, OSMAnd or Maps.Me. Find out what else can be useful when traveling.
  10. International driver's license and license (power of attorney), as well as car documents, “green card”, registration certificate and inspection ticket, etc. when traveling in your own car.

First aid kit

A first aid kit is perhaps the most important thing on a trip. Forgetting a first aid kit at home is more expensive because you will have to fork out money abroad (and you simply cannot buy some medicines, since they are not sold without a prescription).

Lifehack: We usually create two first aid kits (and we advise you to do so), in one - only the most necessary drugs that we carry with us (for example, for allergies), in the second - all the rest. This is especially true if you are going to the jungle or other unsafe places.

List of medications you need to take with you on your trip:

  • painkillers;
  • antidiarrhea medications;
  • antipyretics;
  • cold symptom relievers;
  • antiallergic drugs;
  • antibiotics;
  • individual medications for chronic diseases;
  • remedies for injuries;
  • motion sickness remedies;
  • medicines for snake and insect bites;

Travel insurance It’s convenient to choose and buy on the website - it compares prices from different insurance companies.

Technique

Everything is individual here: some take nothing but a mobile phone and a camera, while others fill their backpack to capacity with equipment.

What we think is worth taking:

  • laptop if you need it for work;
  • mobile phone;
  • player;
  • a camera (preferably not a bulky DSLR with several large lenses; if desired, you can replace it with a mobile phone with a good camera if you are not a professional photographer);
  • e-book.

We also take an external hard drive, a flash drive and small speakers. We usually don’t buy a SIM card - you can communicate for free via Skype, Viber, WhatsApp and similar applications.

If you are driving a car, a navigator will come in handy.

Lifehack 1: We have a special bag for all wires (chargers, USB cords) so they don’t get lost - very convenient. We always take all the gadgets, along with a bag for cables, into the cabin of the plane - if the luggage is lost, the equipment will remain with us.

Lifehack 2: do not connect to an unsecured public network, it is better to use VPN. All public networks in hotels, hostels, cafes, shopping centers, etc. should be considered unsafe.

List of personal care and cosmetics items

As for personal hygiene items and cosmetics, the list of things to take on a trip can be endlessly long if you don’t stop yourself in time from trying to take with you the entire arsenal of decorative cosmetics and other cosmetic items. Believe me, the minimum set is enough - new impressions from the trip, a tan and sunglasses will replace your cosmetics.

List of things to take with you on vacation:

  • toothpaste and brush;
  • shaving accessories;
  • manicure scissors/nail clippers, whichever is more convenient for you;
  • comb;
  • deodorant (preferably solid);
  • wet wipes;
  • disposable handkerchiefs;
  • shampoo (2 in 1) in samples or small tube;
  • some toilet paper and paper napkins;
  • a roll of disposable plastic bags is an extremely useful thing for a trip; it will always come in handy on the road;
  • paper bags if you get motion sickness.

Additionally for women:

  • some cotton swabs and pads, a sponge;
  • pocket mirror;
  • moisturizing cream;
  • Eyebrow Tweezers;
  • decorative cosmetics (lipstick and lip gloss, pencil/eyeliner, mascara, foundation);
  • makeup remover;
  • feminine hygiene products;
  • pumice for keratinized skin of the feet (especially important in southern countries).

Those who wear contact lenses will need a container and solution for lenses; those who wear glasses, take spare ones just in case (glasses break and get lost - we have encountered this more than once). Don't forget about sunglasses.

(Photo © Kikishua / flickr.com / Licensed CC BY-NC 2.0)

This is, perhaps, the minimum of things that you can take with you on a trip. It is better to pour makeup remover and shampoo into special 100 ml tubes - you can buy a so-called travel kit. It will come in handy if you are traveling on your own, because not all hotels offer free toiletries. Well, already abroad it is easy to buy something that is running out or not taken - for example, body and face scrub, shower gel, and so on.

Be careful with liquids carried into the airplane cabin- the volume of one tube of liquid should not exceed 100 ml, and the total volume - 1 liter. All liquids must be packaged in a clear plastic bag. In general, we recommend that you check in almost all hygiene items in your luggage, except for wet wipes, a comb, a mirror, hygienic lipstick, toilet paper, paper and plastic bags - they may come in handy. Feel free to check everything else in your luggage - you’re unlikely to need shampoo during the flight, right?

Clothes and shoes

The choice of clothes and shoes when traveling should be approached with all responsibility. Think carefully about your wardrobe so that you don’t end up with nothing to wear with shoes or a dress.

In general, the list of things to pack for a trip is individual, but there are general recommendations. First, dress for the season and carefully read the weather forecast and climate conditions of the country you are traveling to. In case of rainy and cold weather (or if this is a peculiarity of the country/region/season), you should take waterproof shoes and a raincoat.

Secondly, you should not pack a lot of clothes and shoes - practice shows that almost half of the things taken on a trip are not worn (especially in southern countries). You will bitterly regret that you took a dozen dresses and the same number of pairs of stilettos, only if you are not going to attend social events every evening. In addition, on vacation, most likely, you will not resist buying clothes - leave room for them in your suitcase.

(Photo © Jonas N / flickr.com / Licensed under CC BY-SA 2.0)

Thirdly, try to take only those things that can be combined. Why do you need a thing when traveling if it doesn’t go with anything?

Fourthly, choose only those clothes in which you will feel comfortable, which do not restrict, do not pinch or rub. You should not take unworn shoes - they will cause blisters. We take old shoes, which we don’t mind throwing away if something happens, and during the trip we change them for new ones if the old ones are torn.

Don't forget about a hat if you're going to hot and sunny countries. It is better to take a cap, as hats get very wrinkled. Or purchase a hat on the spot.

What clothes should you take with you on a trip:

  • trousers/jeans (in hot countries, light and light ones are suitable, trousers are especially relevant in Muslim countries);
  • breeches/shorts;
  • a couple of T-shirts and/or T-shirts;
  • a couple of shirts;
  • sweater;
  • windbreaker;
  • light sneakers/sneakers (it’s better to wear them);
  • shoes/sandals/ballet flats;
  • flip-flops;
  • swimming trunks/swimsuit if you are going to the sea;
  • several changes of underwear;
  • several pairs of socks.

What else should you take with you on vacation?

The list can also include such necessary and useful things for traveling as:

  • Swiss knife;
  • corkscrew;
  • lighter and matches;
  • fumigator;
  • thread and needle;
  • pins;
  • small flashlight;
  • an adapter for various types of sockets, as well as a tee or compact extension cord (relevant for those who leave for a long time and take a lot of equipment with them);
  • a cloth napkin (or a microfiber towel that absorbs moisture well);
  • toothpicks;
  • tape or cling film for wrapping a backpack at the airport and so on - in general, something that can make life much easier.

The things listed in this list, although it is not necessary to take on a trip, are still very desirable - they will come in handy at the right time.

In addition to all of the above, we always have two plastic mugs and forks, a teaspoon, a camp kettle-boiler and a coffee pot - thanks to these items you can save on drinks and prepare them at any time.

Despite the impressive list of things for a trip, with proper packing, all this (and even more) can easily fit into a 45 liter backpack (for each person). It’s better to pack things into a suitcase and backpack using rollers, so they won’t get too wrinkled, and some things can be stuffed into shoes and filled with empty spaces.

Don't forget about food for the road - something nutritious, such as dried fruits and nuts, as well as water. It is also useful to have a couple of tea bags, coffee and sugar for the first evening at the hotel.

What to take on a trip with a child

If you are traveling with children, the number of things you need for your trip will increase significantly. Here you won’t get away with a small suitcase: you need to take care of what to do with the child on the plane and on vacation, choose clothes for all occasions, and if the child is small, solve the issue of food, and so on.

So, what to take on a trip with a child?

  • Documentation: The child’s photo must be pasted into the parent’s passport or he must have his own passport, a visa and medical insurance must be issued for him. If a child travels with only one parent, have permission to travel from the other parent.
  • Clothes: choose clothes in such a way that there is always a change if the child gets dirty or tears the clothes. It is better to have a light and warm sweater for unexpected occasions.
  • First aid kit(all the same medications as described above, plus individual medications for the child if there are chronic diseases).
  • Toys: think about what you can take your child on a trip to organize his leisure time - for example, take a tablet with downloaded movies and games, a coloring book, and a few favorite toys.
  • Going: cookies, chopped fruit, water and juice.
  • For small children It is worth taking absorbent diapers, antibacterial wipes, paper tissues, a small blanket and spare diapers, a light blouse (air conditioning is often on the plane), a kangaroo backpack or a folding stroller. Prepare baby food for the first time until you get used to the new place and find a supermarket.

What not to take with you on a trip

We understand that you want to take a lot of necessary and useful things with you on a trip, without which, it seems, all the pleasure of traveling will disappear. But you need to look at things soberly and ruthlessly cross off from the list what you can easily do without or what can be replaced with something on the spot.

Hairdryer

Girls will understand how difficult it is without him. However, remember that many hotels have it. If you are going on a budget independent trip, it makes sense to cut your hair so that your hair does not require styling, or you can put your hair in a ponytail/braid/and so on. Well, if it’s important for you to have a hairdryer, take a travel one.

Iron

A travel iron is a very convenient thing to have when traveling, but you can easily do without it. Firstly, let your wardrobe contain items made from materials that do not wrinkle too much. If the item is wrinkled, hang it in the bathroom while you take a shower - the steam will smooth it out a little. You can also sprinkle it with water and hang it on hangers to dry. In many hotels you can borrow an iron from the reception desk.

Books

Books are heavy and take up a lot of space. It is much easier to take an e-reader, tablet or read from a mobile phone (which is what I do when traveling). Of course, there is a great shortage of paper books - you can take a small paperback or buy a convenient flipbook, or you can visit a bookstore abroad (it’s unlikely that there will be books in Russian, but what’s not a reason to brush up on your forgettable English?).

Expensive jewelry

There is nothing to talk about here - it is better to leave expensive jewelry at home.

In your opinion, what should you take with you on a trip? What items can't you live without while traveling? Write in the comments!

Decide in advance how much money you take with you in cash; you will need it in any case. You will buy water, all sorts of goodies on the beach, fruits at the market. Check that you have sufficient funds on your bank card.

Clothes and shoes

The most controversial part of the list is wardrobe items. I would like to take more outfits, but in fact, out of all the heaps of things we take with us, we usually don’t wear even half of them to the sea.

Let's not forget the main thing, and how to add to the optimal list of things, everyone will decide for themselves.

So, on the sea coast, your main activity is swimming and sunbathing. On the beach you will need swimsuits, preferably at least two, maybe three, so that you can change into dry ones as needed. Men need a pair of swim trunks too.

At least three sets of underwear, pajamas or a nightgown, a robe or a light lounge suit - don’t forget to put all this in your suitcase.

We take with us a pareo, a light tunic with sleeves. They will help out in different situations and protect from the bright sun in the first days of a sea holiday.

How many shorts, skirts, T-shirts to take with you? Minimum! It is better to select those things from which it is easy to make different sets.

Then a pair of light T-shirts, a skirt, shorts, summer trousers and a sundress will be quite enough.

It can also be cool at sea, so bring jeans and a jacket (sweater).

Evening outings will require an elegant dress; choose one of your favorite cocktail dresses.

Don't ignore the hat - in the midst of the summer heat you can't do without it. Choose in advance something to your liking - a hat, scarf, bandana, Panama, cap.

It is better to take a beach bag with you from home, but it is not necessary - you can buy it on the spot, like other beach holiday items.

Take at least two towels - separately for the beach and for the shower.

Sunglasses - you can’t live without them on the seaside. Every family member should have them.

Now about shoes: someone can easily get by with comfortable flip-flops for every day, but you can take another pair, some of which you will wear to the beach, others - around the city.

Many fashionistas cannot do without a pair of elegant shoes for evening outings. Just some beautiful sandals will be enough!

Surely you are going to not only lie on the beach, but also go on excursions, make tourist excursions - which means you need to take some hiking shoes: sneakers, sneakers, ballet shoes, moccasins. Connoisseurs recommend ballet flats; they are comfortable, lightweight and take up less space in your suitcase.

A little jewelry won’t hurt—you want to be especially beautiful on vacation.

An excellent solution is a flash tattoo, this hit of the season is simply a godsend for a beach holiday. Take a set of stickers with you and decorate yourself with fashionable patterns.

Don't forget about hair clips and elastic bands.

Packing a children's suitcase

Be especially careful when compiling a list of your child's belongings:

  • several sets of underwear and socks, a pair of pajamas;
  • at least 4-5 T-shirts, shorts;
  • a pair of warm blouses and trousers;
  • at least two hats and two swim trunks per shift;
  • comfortable sandals, beach flip-flops, sneakers.

Your child will need all this during a holiday at sea.

Don't forget about swimming accessories - arm sleeves, a circle, a vest. Many parents recommend armbands; it is easier to learn to swim in them, there is more freedom of movement than in a vest, but the baby can slip out of the circle.

You need to take your child’s bedding with you, thick, but made of quick-drying fabric.

It is not always possible to sit under a canopy on the beach, so your child will need a sun umbrella.

Don't forget about children's toys: the baby needs a ball, buckets, strainers and scoops.

Toddlers will need a sippy cup, bottles, baby food, a potty, and diapers.

Technique

You are unlikely to forget to take your mobile phone, but many people leave chargers at home.

Make a list of all the equipment you plan to take with you:

  • camera (video camera);
  • laptop or tablet;
  • player;
  • e-book (not required, but you can take it).

And don't forget to charge each device.

Cosmetics and hygiene products

We definitely include sunscreens, including children’s, in our list of cosmetics.

Don't forget mosquito repellents either. The child needs products appropriate for his age.

What else should you take with you:

  • shampoo (more convenient in bags);
  • soap;
  • deodorant;
  • moisturizing cream;
  • a minimum of decorative cosmetics;

  • makeup remover;
  • depilatory products;
  • toothpaste and brushes;
  • combs;
  • feminine hygiene products;
  • wet wipes;
  • manicure set;
  • brush (pumice) for feet;
  • men's shaving accessories, shaving cream (foam) and aftershave lotion.

First aid kit

Medicines can be purchased at your local pharmacy. But you must take the most necessary medications. If you constantly take any medications, for example, for blood pressure, do not forget to put them in your first aid kit.

List of medications that are recommended to be taken on a trip to the sea:

  • activated carbon or other effective sorbents;
  • hydrogen peroxide, iodine;
  • adhesive plaster;
  • anti-diarrhea medications;
  • “Rescuer” ointment is useful in different situations;
  • painkillers;
  • antihistamines;
  • for a child: thermometer, antipyretic, anti-inflammatory, remedy for bloating, drops for the runny nose, medicine for burns, remedies for indigestion and motion sickness.

What you should not take with you to the sea:

  • hairdryer - give your hair a rest at least at sea;
  • iron - we hope this doesn’t occur to anyone; hotels and rental property owners have such a household appliance;

  • a boiler is already a relic of Soviet times; it is better to use an electric kettle in your room or rented apartment;
  • dishes are also a habit ingrained over the years, but you will find plates and cups in place;
  • food - some thrifty vacationers carry sausage, stewed meat, canned food and other edibles with them;
  • jewelry - why would you risk losing a ring or chain at sea;
  • books - as a rule, a volume of novels will remain lying at the bottom of the suitcase; guidebooks and atlases are on sale at local kiosks.

We tried not to forget anything and make a complete list for the trip to the sea.

Start packing for the trip in advance, carefully select what you absolutely need to take, try to pack it all compactly.

So you will understand whether it is really necessary to take two whole evening dresses and three sundresses, your child’s favorite car and a heavy cosmetic bag.

Prepare for the seaside wisely and with pleasure!
