The most important excursion areas

Larnaca is a relatively small city, but it has certain places - clusters of attractions. These include:

    Finikoudes embankment together with the adjacent main beach of the city, which bears the same name, a citadel dating from medieval times, a wooden pier and a picturesque port. The name of the embankment translates as Palm or Date, and it stretches from the Larnaca citadel to Vasileos Pavlou Square.

    From here it is very easy to get to the Old Town and other ancient attractions (the medieval fort and the Temple of St. Lazarus), completing their exploration with a visit to one of the many bars and catering establishments here;

    Piale Pasa promenade, stretching all the way to the airport and ending with another equally popular vacation spot - Mackenzie Beach. Cafes and bars await their visitors right on the coast, but be prepared for the fact that it’s a long walk from the city to get here - it’s easier to order a taxi. But it’s just a stone’s throw from the airport, which was the reason for the construction of many new ones in the area.

    Near the beach are the Kamares Aqueduct, built during the Middle Ages, the Hala Sultan Tekke Mosque and the famous salt lake;

  • Dekhelia road(Ammokhostu) is a truly elite area with many hotels located right next to. However, it is also quite distant from the main infrastructure of Larnaca.
