Sudak guest house warm sea. Sudak, Crimea: recreation, beaches, prices. Tickets to Crimea

Sudak is a unique climatic resort in southeastern Crimea, with a rich history and abundance of attractions, as well as the largest wine-making center in the country. The city is located in a natural mountain bowl, overgrown with beech and juniper forests, in the valley of the river of the same name. Read our article on the Tour Calendar and you will find out why June, the last days of August and September are the best time in Sudak.

Tourist season in Sudak

Sudak is a calm seaside resort that compares favorably with other Crimean towns with its affordable prices. Those who prefer unity with nature, clean mountain air and a relaxed atmosphere to a noisy holiday come here. Among the tourists are couples with children, young people, middle-aged and elderly people. Sudak began to receive its first guests at the end of the 19th century. and continues to do so to this day. Today it confidently positions itself as a tourist and excursion center: developed hotel infrastructure, good entertainment facilities, beautiful beaches and amazing wine. The tourist season here lasts from May to October.

High season

An active influx of tourists in Sudak is observed after June 20 until August 25. At this time they are already actively swimming. This is the time for festivals and a time of general resort relaxation. In this regard, prices for services and accommodation are increasing slightly, and there are fewer available places in the private sector, so popular among the “savages”. That is why it is necessary to take care of housing in advance. Cafes, restaurants, beaches and markets are crowded everywhere. Among the vacationers are Russians and residents of neighboring countries.

Low season

Already at the end of October, the last tourists rush to leave Sudak. The weather is getting colder and daylight hours are getting shorter. A taste of sweet memories of the past summer, an intricate souvenir, and, perhaps, a bottle of vintage wine - that’s all that remains as a memory of the fleeting days. An atmosphere of general calm reigns in the city, which will last until next May. And local residents are trying to get back into their usual work routine after a relaxing vacation.

Beach season in Sudak

The swimming season in Sudak opens in early June with a water temperature of 20 °C. The first two weeks of the month are a kind of build-up. There are few vacationers, and most of the seasonal establishments are just about to open. Another thing is the end of the first summer month. Resort life is in full swing, of course - after all, the sea temperature off the coast is already 24 °C - 25 °C, and at the height of summer - 25 °C - 26 °C. At this time in Sudak there are a lot of young people and fewer older people, as a result of which it is noisy and lively. But even in July and August in Sudak you can escape to a cozy, uncrowded beach by traveling a few kilometers by bus away from the city.

The Velvet season

The velvet season in Sudak is a new breath of beach holidays and a fresh influx of tourists, who, first of all, hold in high esteem the cool weather, gentle sun and idyllic landscapes of semi-desert beaches. As a rule, it opens at the beginning of September - but not in the first days, but a little later, with a slight hitch: the previous batch of tourists has already left, and the new one has not yet arrived. There are a lot of advantages, as well as gourmets, of such a time of rest. These are low prices, dropping from 20% to 25%, and free beaches, and the absence of queues at ticket offices. The water temperature during the velvet season ranges from 21 °C to 23 °C. Sometimes it lasts until the first days of October, but at this time you should not count on sea temperatures warmer than 19 °C -20 °C.

Best time for excursions

More than 18 centuries of interesting and exciting history have not passed without a trace. On the territory of the city and in its surroundings there are interesting architectural monuments, historical, and simply picturesque places. For example, the New World, where Prince Golitsyn founded a champagne wine factory, one of the most famous in Europe. Unlike geologists who come here for archaeological excavations at any time of the year, for ordinary tourists it is very important to have time to participate in one or another excursion - so that it is not too hot and not too cold, not without rain and strong winds. In this regard, May and September are the best months.

It's time for holidays and festivals

Both grandiose and more modest holidays are celebrated in Sudak. The last days of July are reserved for the SUDAK festival with a competitive dance and song program. On the territory of the Genoese fortress, in mid-July, the festival of folk crafts “City of Masters” starts, where the secrets of pottery, glassblowing, etc. are revealed. There, in early August, for 9 days, the international knightly festival “Genoese Helmet” takes place with real knightly tournaments and costume competitions and medieval entertainment. After which local residents and guests of the city expect the KVN festival.

Wellness season

There are several health resorts in Sudak, as well as a military sanatorium. They help to gently and naturally improve your health, relieve fatigue and gain new strength. Such institutions are especially crowded in the summer. However, hot weather is not entirely conducive to recreation. The end of spring - the beginning of summer is the best time for these purposes.

Climate in Sudak

Sudak is considered one of the sunniest Crimean resorts, which in this regard surpassed Yalta itself - 2550 hours of sunshine per year. Clean air, saturated with iodine and phytoncides of juniper groves, thujas and pines, combined with healing quartz sand of the beaches, which has bactericidal properties, work real miracles. The body is instantly charged with energy and becomes resistant to colds, and no trace remains of former fatigue. In addition, there are no sudden temperature changes here due to the good protection of the mountains on three sides. If we talk about precipitation, the Sudak coast is drier than the South Coast.

Pike perch in spring

Spring in Sudak is a magical time. Its beginning, as in all of Crimea, is incomprehensible, with all the vagaries of the weather. There are often low fogs over the city, covering almost the entire coast with their canvas. In mid-April, warm and sunny weather sets in. The first shoots of gladioli and irises are sprouting, snowdrops and lilies of the valley are blooming, irises and yellow crocuses are blooming in the juniper valleys. In general, a real flower paradise. “Green” tourism is becoming increasingly popular in the spring in Sudak. In May, it’s already quite hot during the day - it’s time to take out your summer clothes, but you shouldn’t put away your old ones either - after all, it will definitely be cold in the evening.

Pike perch in summer

Summer in Sudak is hot. During the day, the air temperature often soars to 30 °C, or even higher degrees. Fortunately, the situation is slightly alleviated by refreshing sea breezes: before lunch they blow from the sea to the shore, and in the evening, on the contrary, from the mountains to the sea, filling the air with a pleasant pine aroma. When vacationing in Sudak in the summer, be careful: despite the fact that rains occur here extremely rarely, they are a provoking factor for mudflows, destroying everything in their path. Sea water is very warm in summer. You can not only swim, but also ride a water scooter, go sailing or diving. And those who are braver will not refuse to fly on a paraglider.

Pike perch in autumn

Autumn in Sudak is warm and very short. It is much warmer than the spring season. Of course, the temperatures are no longer summer, but it only begins to get noticeably colder in the second half of October. The intensity of precipitation increases and the nights become frosty. There are still many sunny days in November, but more often they are replaced by cloudy weather with cloudy skies. The air temperature can fluctuate between 8 °C and 17 °C. This time of year was especially valued by aristocrats in the past. Today, most of the season sees tourists at the resort. Autumn Sudak exudes a special romance: sea excursions along quaint bays, horseback riding, fishing, mountain climbing, tasting Crimean wines, etc.

My husband and I went on vacation to Sudak in July. Euro dollars bite, budget Egypt and Turkey are prohibited, but I really wanted to warm my bones and swim, so the choice fell on Crimea.

We had already vacationed in Feodosia before - it was fine, but it was boring. Yalta is a great option, but prices are the highest in Crimea. In the end, we settled on Sudak, and besides, at work they gave us a good permit for professional services)

=====================ROAD============================ ====================

There are four ways to get to Crimea:

  • air travel to Simferopol (the cost of a flight from Moscow is approximately 5,000 rubles in June, 6,500 rubles in July, 3,500 rubles in August and 3,000 rubles in September - prices as of July 2016, the final price is also higher the fewer days before departure)
  • train with a transfer to the ferry "port Kavkaz - port Kerch" (fare in a reserved seat car - from 4400 rubles, in a compartment - from 7700 rubles)
  • bus (cost depends on the city of departure)
  • Personal car.

Because We don’t have a car, so we chose the option with by bus, I’ll tell you more about it.

Fare one way from our city, including ferry crossing, amounted to 2000 rub.

A very budget option, but it may have its own characteristics:

In total, due to all these delays, our travel time there and back was about 30 hours(usually 24 hours), this is a lot. So, decide for yourself what is more important: cheapness or comfort.

=============================================ACCOMMODATION===== ===============

At work I was given a ticket for two to the Horizont shopping center at a big discount. Without a discount, accommodation for one with three meals a day costs about 30,000 rubles (the price is wildly inflated), but it cost us three times less.

The tourist and recreational (some kind of word) complex is a typical Soviet five-story building with its own, very green and picturesque territory.

Location The horizon is its main and big plus! Famous Genoese fortress is located just a few hundred meters from the complex. The view from the balcony is simply breathtaking: in front is the sea, on the right is the fortress and on the left is the embankment, which is illuminated in the evening with thousands of lights.

The room itself is designed without any frills, but everything you need is there: a new air conditioner, a mini-fridge and a TV (to watch the news sometimes).

The territory has its own pool, for those who are too lazy to go to the beach, the pool is small, but always clean. Beach, by the way, at Horizon own, so it is clean and there are not very many vacationers, they are allowed there with passes. The path to the beach takes 10 minutes.

On the way to the sea we met this Mustang

The price of the tour included three meals a day nutrition(buffet breakfast and dinner, set lunch), the food was simple but tasty. In the evening, delicious barbecue was also prepared on the territory of the complex.

More detailed information on prices and photos of rooms can be found on the official website of TOK "Horizon".

Regarding living in private hotels, then in Sudak you can find many good options for the price 1000-2000 rub.. per day. I recommend taking a closer look at the Veranda guest house (it’s on Booking), friends said that it has an excellent location and price per day less than 1000 rub.

=====================CLIMATE============================ =====================

If you want to relax in Crimea, but are afraid that the sea will be cold or there will be prolonged rains, then you are definitely in Sudak. The fact is that its location in Sudak makes it the most attractive among other Crimean resorts in terms of climate. This is due to the fact that the Sudak Valley is protected by mountains and is open only to the south.

Here are some encouraging facts from meteorological statistics:

  • Sudak has the smallest number of cloudy days per year among the Crimean resorts - 84 and the largest number of clear days - 91.
  • There is little precipitation - an average of 318 mm per year (in Yalta - 635 mm).
  • The swimming season in Sudak is the longest in Crimea
  • The sea in the Gulf of Sudak warms up early and retains heat for a long time. Cold currents are rare, and the average water temperature is +18.7 °C in June, +22.7 °C in July, +22.2 °C in August, +20.2 °C in September, +17.4 °C in October .

When we were vacationing in Sudak, the rain caught us only once (during a visit to the Genoese fortress), and then it was light and ended in a couple of minutes.

The sea was warm throughout our holiday in Sudak. For comparison, when we were vacationing in Feodosia, we experienced a period of cold currents. For five days the water was like a font - 13 degrees! I had to go swimming in Azov.

So in Sudak, you will need a Panama hat more than an umbrella.

============================================ENTERTAINMENT===== ================

Most of all I love Crimea for its unique nature, beautiful landscapes, luxurious palaces and a bunch of other attractions. There are many points on the Sudak embankment where you will be offered excursions for every taste. We purchased excursions from the Crimea-Tour company in our sanatorium. It should be noted that after the annexation of Crimea to Russia, prices there increased significantly. Full-day excursions (Yalta and Bakhchisarai) cost us a pretty penny, but we got so many pleasant impressions that we never regretted the money spent.

We chose the following excursions:

  • "Yalta-classic"(large cable car to Ai-Petri, Vorontsov Palace, Swallow's Nest, motor ship to Yalta, Yalta embankment, small cable car). Duration - 14 hours. The cost of the excursion (adults/children) is 1350/1100 rubles. Entrance fees (adults/children) 1150/675 rub.
  • Bakhchisaray(Khan's Palace, Assumption Monastery, cave city Chufut-Kale). Duration - 12 hours. The cost of the excursion (adults/children) is 470/230 rubles.
  • Lion Park "Taigan"(Europe's only lion park + zoo). Duration - 5 hours. The cost of the excursion (adults/children) is 650/500 rubles. Entrance fees (adults/children) 900/450 rub.

We also visited on our own Genoese fortress(it took us 10 minutes to walk to it) and New World(we got there by minibus). Cost of entrance ticket to the territory of the Genoese fortress: 150/75/0 rub. (adults/schoolchildren, students/children under 7 years old). The entrance ticket to the Golitsin Trail in the New World cost, in my opinion, 100 rubles.

You can write a lot about the excursions themselves, but I think photos will speak much better than words.

Yalta-classic

The tour begins with an overview of Vorontsov Park and Vorontsov Palace.

The Vorntsovsky Palace has two “faces”. Its northern façade is designed in a strict English style:

and the southern one - in eastern, neo-Moorish:

The views from the site near the southern façade are simply fantastic! And is it really necessary to go somewhere far abroad for such beauty?

The next item on the program is the ascent to the Ai-Petri plateau on a large cable car

The bravest ones can go to the battlements via that suspended bridge over the abyss:

There are several cafes on the plateau where you can have a snack, taste wine and try delicious kebab. There are also many stalls where they sell all sorts of things, including this rarity:

We go down by car and go to the Swallow's Nest.

Here we walk, breathe the sea air, take photos and sail on a boat to the Yalta embankment.

We walk along the embankment and, having rested a little, go up to the bus along a small cable car in these “capsule cabins”:

Bakhchisaray

I would like to note that for me the excursion to Chufut-Kale turned out to be the most physically difficult. The heat and the constant climb up the mountain were very exhausting. But the beauty that we saw there was worth the effort.

Ancient city of the Karaites:

Full of impressions from Chufut-Kale, we set off to explore the Khan’s Palace.

The Khan's Palace, or rather the palace complex, was built in the 16th century. On its territory, in addition to the palace itself, there are a mosque, a harem, a Persian garden, a library, a khan’s cemetery and other buildings.

The interior decoration conveys the life of the Crimean khans of that time.

Judging by the size of the preserved container, the Crimean khans were very fond of wine.

Lion Park "Taigan"

The Taigan Lion Park is the largest nursery for lions and other animals in Europe. Located in Belogorsk. The reserve contains about 60 lions, 40 tigers and many other animals.

Chickens, peacocks, rabbits and stray cats roam freely around the park.

Feeding animals is absolutely not forbidden! (not counting predators, of course).

The kids are delighted and so am I

The park area covers more than 30 hectares. The territory is very well-groomed, green, everywhere you look: flower beds, alpine slides and sculptures depicting animals.

Adorable beggar pigs

The pride of Taigan is the Lions Safari Park, its area covers almost 20 hectares. Predators in it are not limited to cages and feel quite at ease.

Someone sharpens their teeth:

and someone relaxes after lunch:

You can watch the predators from above from the safe metal bridges that penetrate the safari territory:

Genoese (Sudak) fortress

The Genoese fortress is a key attraction of the city of Sudak. There are different versions about the age of the fortress and its builders, but according to the main one, the founders are considered to be the Genoese, who built the citadel in the 14th-15th centuries AD.

The fortress is located on Fortress Hill, whose height is about 150 m, so it can be seen from almost any part of the city. If you climb the towers, you can see wonderful views of Sudak Bay from above.

New World

Novy Svet is a resort village 6 km from Sudak. You can get to it by car or by minibus from the bus station (they run every half hour). Entrance to the hiking trail costs about 100 rubles. We began our review from a juniper grove, and then descended along the Golitsyn trail. You can go up the opposite way if you enter from the embankment. Entertainment in the city

The "Mecca" of all vacationers in Sudak is Cypress Alley- a long street dotted with cafes/restaurants, kiosks where they sell souvenirs and all sorts of things for tourists, places where they will braid your hair/get a tattoo/take a photo with a dog, etc. and so on. In the evening, the alley is very crowded)) At the end, Cypress Alley leads directly to the embankment.

The alley also has market, where they sell vegetables, fruits, all sorts of pickles and spices. Prices at this market are above average; we only bought spice sets there. I recommend buying food at smaller markets (we bought it at the market on Morskaya Street, next to the Horizon beach).

Not far from Cypress Alley is located amusement park. Basically, all the rides are for children, but there are also some that adults can ride on, including extreme ones.

A great place for leisurely walks and contemplating sea views is, of course, embankment.

As for "eating"

Our trip included three meals a day, but several times we went to local cafes for dinner. In general, a tourist in Sudak will have no problems with food: both on the embankment and on Cypress Alley, here and there there are budget cafes and canteens.

For example, on Cypress Alley there is a beautiful dining room in the Arabic style (I don’t remember the name, but you will immediately recognize it by the mosaic and the fountain in the center), you can eat there for 300-400 rubles per person, including a hot dish, main course, salad and drink.

Very popular among locals and tourists Barbecue No. 1(exit to the embankment from Cypress Alley). The meat there is very tasty and the prices are reasonable, but the order will have to wait, because... there are always a lot of visitors there.

Very common teahouse cafes in the Persian style, where guests are seated on trestle beds at low tables. There you can order aromatic tea made from local herbs, accompanied by free nuts and sweets:

My favorite brand is “The Kingdom of Fragrances”. It’s inexpensive here and the products are fresh (production is located in Simferopol, if I’m not mistaken). My must-haves have been around for years: lavender water, gel for problem skin with aloe, natural drops for colds and essential oils. The latter are of very high quality, concentrated, with a sharp, strong odor. Only after trying tea tree essential oil from the target audience did I realize how cheap what is sold in our pharmacies is (as if a drop of essential oil was added to sunflower oil).

2. Crimean herbal teas, dried lavender flowers

3. Handmade ceramics. I collect plates and couldn’t resist this beauty (handmade, painted with enamel on ceramics):

4. Products made from solid juniper (dishes, coasters, figurines). It’s both beautiful and practical, and the aroma of juniper reminds you of vacation.

5. Sets of spices (there are a wide variety of them on the market)

Thank you for stopping by and mastering my opus!

Best wishes!

Sudak is a small resort town located on the Black Sea coast in Crimea.

The city is located on the shore of the Sudak Bay of the same name, in the middle part of the southeastern coast of the Crimean Peninsula. The climate in Sudak is mild and arid, without sharp temperature fluctuations and is close to the climate of the southern coast of Crimea. Precipitation in Sudak is half as much as in Sudak, and there are more hours of sunshine per year. The resort (swimming) season in Sudak is one of the longest in Crimea, on average it lasts from early June to mid-October, July - August are considered especially hot months, at this time the air temperature can reach +38°C, and sea water coastal waters warm up to +24 - +25 degrees.

Warm summers accompanied by sun, a sea suitable for swimming, picturesque mountain landscapes and a variety of relatively inexpensive accommodation are the main reasons that make holidays in Sudak so attractive for many tourists.

Beaches and sea in Sudak

The beach strip in Sudak is quite long. The beaches stretch along Sudak Bay. The beaches, like the entrance to the sea, are gently sloping, with coarse gray sand mixed with pebbles. But all these seemingly advantages did not make Sudak attractive to us.

In our opinion, the beaches in the city center are far from decent and comfortable, and for the money you have to pay for a vacation, you can find much better and more developed places to relax.

Beaches in Sudak are a complex of beaches consisting of small beaches separated by breakwaters.

Basically, all beaches in Sudak are free and open during the day. However, beach equipment will have to be rented. The rental price depends on the specific beach. On average, the cost of renting a sun lounger is 100 rubles per hour, 250 rubles for 4 hours.

The beaches are also equipped with changing cabins, designated smoking areas, and medical and rescue posts. There are also beach activities, such as banana boat rides, tablet rides, catamaran rides, boat trips with swimming in the open sea, etc. are organized. Catamaran rental 600 rubles per hour.

From the beaches and the embankment you can see Fortress Mountain, with the Sudak/Genoese fortress located on it. The Genoese fortress in Sudak, one of the most ancient and preserved fortresses in Crimea. You can go for a walk around the territory of the fortress, but we will talk about this a little lower.

On one of the beaches, if you go to the fortress, the beach itself leaves much to be desired; you can take a banana boat on an excursion to the Fortress Mountain and visit the fortress itself, as well as to the New World, where you will have the opportunity to swim in a clean, secluded bay. At least the organizers of this event promise a clean bay, but we don’t know what’s really there. But judging by the frequency with which tourists from all over the area are taken to these bays, there is no smell of cleanliness and privacy there. The cost of a sea excursion is from 500 rubles per person.

Sea in Sudak

Since this is a bay, the sea in pike perch is mostly calm and warm; by June the water warms up to +19 - + 21°.

Sudak Bay brings both its advantages, sea water warms up early and retains heat for a long time, as well as some disadvantages. The downside is that since this is a bay, the water in the sea will be a little dirtier than on open beaches. In pike perch it is mainly a little algae and small jellyfish, but they do not interfere, the algae does not smell, and jellyfish are not always present and do not cause discomfort. What is more unpleasant is the small household garbage left by numerous tourists, of which there are quite a few in Sudak during the high season, and all this garbage is washed up near the breakwaters. Of course, all this dirt is a little, but unpleasant, so for swimming in Sudak it is better to choose places in the middle of the beaches and away from the breakwaters.

Embankment, food and prices in Sudak

An embankment stretches along the central beaches. The embankment is quite wide, making it pleasant to walk along it in the evening.

Walking along the embankment you will certainly see Fortress Hill with the Genoese fortress. In Sudak you can’t escape her; her appearance will follow you everywhere you go. And we recommend everyone to visit this fortress, it’s worth it. The fortress itself may not cause delight, but it will definitely add variety to a monotonous beach holiday, and the views from the observation decks of the fortress of the city, the sea and the surrounding area are quite picturesque.

On the embankment there are small cafes, restaurants and canteens, as well as souvenir shops and some entertainment.

At the foot of the mountain, market

Canteens are generally a separate issue in Crimea; they are in all the resort towns of Crimea at almost every turn; there are always a lot of people there, especially at lunchtime. The prices are reasonable, the food is average, but tourists prefer this type of food, it’s cheap and fast. For example, a portion of Ukrainian borscht in a restaurant serving Ukrainian cuisine in Sudak will cost from 200 rubles, and in a canteen from 60. They taste almost the same, only from the canteen one can cause heartburn, and from restaurant borscht the consequences are unlikely, at least that’s what I want believe.

Since we're talking about food and prices, let's continue this topic. In general, the food in Crimea and Sudak as well is not tasty. “Ah, Oh and Wow! How I ate”, you are unlikely to find anything like this.

Street food consists mainly of chebureks, various pastries, pizza, pancakes with fillings, shawarma, hot dogs, etc.

Fish and seafood

From this set, frog legs, shark, squid, shrimp, etc., you can choose as much as you want, and right here in front of you, for an additional fee, they can put it all on skewers and fry it on the grill.

Among the sweets, cakes and pastries, churchkhela, Turkish delight and halva are common. Turkish delight tastes better when it is in bulk, and not in beautiful gift wrappings.

Also in Sudak you can find cheeses of the Adyghe type in abundance.

The main square of the resort Sudak

Near the embankment there is a square with a fountain, cafes, restaurants and some entertainment for children, such as car rental.

Another of the many canteens

Shady square

And a monument

Where to take a walk in Sudak - walking street: Cypress Alley

Cypress Alley is a walking street in Sudak, connecting the city center, Lenin Street and the embankment. Cypress Alley was planted at the beginning of the last century. The alley contains souvenir shops selling souvenirs and resort goods, as well as cafes and restaurants.

There is an amusement park, shops, minimarkets and a small market where you can buy vegetables, fruits, berries and other goods.

Lenin Street and other streets of Sudak

One of the central streets of the city is Lenin Street. A pleasant green street for walking and living.

On the street there are hotels, banks, shops, souvenir shops, cafes and restaurants

On Lenin Street, at the address: st. Lenina, 38 there is a large supermarket of the PUD grocery store chain (formerly ATB). It is in this store that a large selection of products and goods are presented at the lowest prices in Sudak.

Where Lenin Street intersects with Feodosiyskaya Street, there is a Bus Station (bus station), where buses from other cities of Crimea arrive.

From the lower station of the bus station you can get to the Genoese fortress and the New World. Travel to the Genoese fortress costs 11-15 rubles.

Other streets in Sudak are less attractive

Sights, entertainment and excursions in Sudak

There are practically no attractions in the city of Sudak itself. The most famous is the Sudak/Genoese fortress of the 11th-14th centuries. From the city you can walk to the fortress in 15 minutes or take a bus. Walking is more interesting. Entrance to the fortress is paid, the price of an adult ticket is 150 rubles. Read more about the Genoese fortress in Sudak and see photos here.

You can also visit :

New World and the Golinitsa trail. The Golitsyn Trail is an ancient mountain path, carved out on the slope of Koba-Kaya in 1912 for the arrival of Tsar Nicholas II by order of Prince Lev Sergeevich Golitsyn. Currently, there are daily excursions along it;

Cape Alchak/Alchak-Kaya nature reserve with the Aeolian Harp grotto;

Winery of the State Enterprise "Sudak", producing fine wines. The wines are not tasty, the excursion is not worth it (in our opinion, you may like it);

Bust of twice Hero of Socialist Labor M.D. Knyazeva;

The “Hill of Glory” monument, which is a mass grave of underground fighters, paratroopers and soldiers of the Great Patriotic War who died during the liberation of Sudak on April 14, 1944;

and simply admire the 19th century resort architecture and natural scenery.

In the vicinity of Sudak you can go on any excursion and visit all the famous sights of Crimea. You can go to the sights either on your own on buses or with a guided tour; they are sold at every step. In our opinion, visiting the sights on your own is a more interesting and exciting activity than going on a guided tour. Moreover, it is cheaper to go on your own. Buses run frequently, this shouldn't be a problem.

From family and children's entertainment, Water park "Sudak", located at: st. Gagarina, 79. The water park is open to the public in the summer.

How to get to Sudak

There are several ways to get to Sudak:

The fastest, most practical and comfortable, by plane to Simferopol, and from there by bus or taxi to Sudak. You can order a taxi/transfer on the website in advance, from home. At any time of the day, at the airport, a driver will be waiting for you with a sign with your name and surname written on it. To order a taxi, just provide your flight details. You can also use the services of this taxi for sightseeing and trips around Crimea. The taxi will be waiting for you at your hotel at a time convenient for you;

Also by buses from other settlements of Crimea (, Kerch, etc.), or from cities of Ukraine and Russia;

Where to stay in Sudak

The private sector is developed in Sudak. A room costs from 350-500 rubles per person per night. You can rent such housing upon arrival by simply walking around the city/private sector and looking for signs “Housing”, “Housing for rent”, “Rooms”. If you search on your own in the private sector, you can find cheaper housing than through agents, who are plentiful on the city streets. For agents, as a rule, the price tag starts from 700 rubles per person per night.

Geographical location: climate, sea, beaches, nature

Sudak is located in southeastern Crimea, on the shore of Sudak Bay. The mountains surrounding the city on three sides determine the climate of the area, as they protect it from the cold northern winds. It is mild, close to the Mediterranean, with the greatest number of sunny days among all the resort towns of the peninsula.

The shallow sea in the bay quickly warms up in the spring and remains warm until mid-autumn, so the swimming season lasts from May to October, averaging 138 days (the longest in Crimea). The sea in Sudak is not only warm, but also unusually clean.

The air temperature reaches +38 degrees in June–August, however, people do not feel particularly hot, since a refreshing breeze always maintains their tone. In addition, the amazing aroma in the air helps to cope with the heat, combining at one time or another the recognizable smells of lavender, juniper, sage, almond, wormwood and rose.

There are 13 beaches made of pebbles and quartz sand within the city limits and in the suburbs. The beaches are wide, with modern infrastructure, which allows you not only to take sunny treatments, but also to have fun (bananas, slides, diving, catamarans, cafes, etc.)

Do not doubt, holiday in Sudak in the summer season - this is what you have been dreaming about and preparing for for the whole year.
