Belitskoye- a city of regional significance. Administratively, it is subordinate to the city of Dobropolye. Located in the northwestern part of the region, in the valley of the Vodianaya River (a tributary of the Byk River, the Dnieper basin). Located near the Mertsalovo railway station.
Located: Ukraine, Donetsk region, Dobropolsky district.

The land on which it is located Belitskoye town belonged to the landowner Klasin. After he became poor, the land was bought by wealthy peasants Degtyarev, Leshchina, Zavarza, Rubel, Butenko, who founded the farm in 1909. Then new families from Russia arrived here, people from the same village of Belchany, who began to call themselves by their previous place of residence. In 1909, the Belitskoye farmstead was mentioned for the first time. It consisted of 15 adobe huts. After the establishment of Soviet power, a village council was formed in the village of Nikanorovka, which included the Belitskoye farm.

In 1932-1933, the first geologists from Yuzovka appeared on the farm and discovered large deposits of coal. The prospect was to build a mine and a city, but the Great Patriotic War ruined everything. In the fall of 1941, the Nazis captured the farm. The Germans first came to the farm in mid-November 1941.

In February 1943, during the first attempt to liberate the city of Krasnoarmeysk (then called Krasnoarmeyskoye), tankers and infantrymen from the remnants of units of the 10TK (tank corps) retreating from the city of Krasnoarmeysk, as well as civilians who were buried in mass grave.

In 1951, a project for the construction of a mine with a workers' camp for 15,000 people was approved.

In 1953, construction of the village began. Demobilized soldiers and young people from all over the Soviet Union came here on Komsomol vouchers.

The first were:

  • I. I. Voevoda,

Belitskoye received the status of an urban-type settlement in 1956. The first chairman of the village council was a WWII participant, a communist - Taras Makarovich Zavgorodniy.

In December 1959, builders put into operation the Belitskaya mine, a year ahead of schedule, which, at the request of the workers, was named “the mine named after the 21st Congress of the CPSU.”
In December 1961, a factory was put into operation at the mine, which was called “Oktyabrskaya”. In 1963, three years ahead of schedule, the mine named after the XXI Congress of the CPSU mastered the design capacity of the enterprise.
