Where to relax in July at sea. Where to go on vacation in July. Prices for holidays in Turkey

Summer is in full swing, which means the most interesting time has come, and it’s time to go on a trip. In July, you can relax almost anywhere, well, maybe you should exclude a few countries where the combination of heat and high humidity will not bring pleasure.

The main list of countries and tourist destinations in July is not much different from the June one, which can be found in the article “”.

I don’t want to repeat myself and will dwell in more detail only on some of the destinations that, according to experts from the travel industry and analysts from well-known travel websites, have aroused increased interest among Russians this summer.

As always, July is mainly a beach holiday. Voted for it (according to VTsIOM) - 38%, 25% of Russians want to improve their cultural level, learn new places and attractions, improve their health in sanatoriums - 21%, and just go around the expanses of their homeland and abroad with a backpack - 17%.

As for children's holidays: this summer, 12% of the surveyed parents plan to send their children on holiday to children's camps, to the dacha - 17%, to the Black Sea - 12%, on hikes - 2%, to other places - 9%, for milestone – 7%. But, unfortunately, a lot of children will remain at home - 37%.

Contrary to tradition, when we mainly considered holiday options abroad, today we will talk about holidays in July with children at Russian beach resorts and, above all, resorts on the Black Sea coast and Crimea, as well as in other cities of our country.

So, what to choose: resorts in Kuban, Crimea or holidays abroad?

Whatever the reasons, the number of Russians wishing to visit Crimea this summer has increased significantly. Attempts to compare Sochi and Crimea in terms of the number of people wishing to relax in them and presenting them as two competing tourist destinations are hardly advisable.

Many Russian resorts on the Black Sea coast and the Sea of Azov with wonderful beaches are attractive for children's holidays. The following arguments are put forward in favor of Crimea: cleaner sea, beautiful nature, historical sights and, for now, lower prices.

The advantages of Sochi are a calmer political situation, developed tourist infrastructure, easier access to resorts, and many are attracted by the new Olympic venues.

If we compare, for example, with the most popular destination for summer holidays with children - with Turkey in terms of price-quality ratio, then this comparison is not yet in favor of the Russian resort.

The difficulty is that there are still very few package offers in Crimea. And by paying separately for accommodation, transfer and flights (even if air travel is cheap, which is not always possible), the cost of the tour turns out to be the same as to Turkey, and sometimes even more expensive. Unfortunately, most of the cost of the holiday is still consumed by travel.

But not everything is so gloomy. Experts assure that Crimea has good tourism potential: a unique healing climate, a large number of beaches (560) and their great length (more than 500 kilometers), the most interesting history of the peninsula, and the absence of problems with paperwork for departure. And over time, this resort region will be able to compete with Turkey, Egypt and other resorts abroad.

Where to relax with children in Crimea?

This summer, a lot of attention is being paid to organizing children's recreation in Crimean camps. The website of the Government of the Russian Federation reports that during the summer in Crimea, more than 33 thousand children will be able to improve their health and relax at the expense of budget funds.

Holidays in the best new generation children's camps in Crimea, part of the Terra Unique network of development camps: “Mandarin” and “I&Camp” (resort village Peschanoye 60 km from Sevastopol and 65 kilometers from Simferopol airport) and “Kakadu” (Evpatoria) - attracts those who like to relax creatively, brightly and comfortably.

The conditions in these modern camps are approximately the same: 5 meals a day, rooms with amenities, well-maintained good beaches, a swimming pool, water slides. You can send your child on vacation for any number of days you need. The average price per day (food and accommodation) ranges from 1000 to 3200 rubles.

Approximate prices per shift (17 days) in some popular children's camps (excluding travel costs):

  • “Mandarin” and “I&Camp” (Peschanoe village) – 36-43 thousand rubles
  • “Cartoon” (Peschanoe village) – 28-36 thousand rubles
  • “Kakadu” (Zaozernoye village, Evpatoria) – 30-37 thousand rubles
  • “Crystal” (Alushta) – 25 thousand rubles
  • “Artek” (Gurzuf village) – 21-48 thousand rubles.

The most expensive trips are in July.

You can have a good rest by traveling with the whole family through the cities of Crimea or by staying by the sea at one of its resorts, some of which are among the top thirty beach places in Russia. According to the rating of the cost of summer holidays conducted by the website Travel.ru, these are Feodosia (known for its wonderful sandy beaches), Evpatoria (a resort for families with children of any age), Sevastopol, Yalta, Sudak and Gurzuf.

The "excursion" in Crimea is also extremely interesting for both adults and children: the palaces of Livadia and Alupka, Bakhchisarai and Massandra, Nikitsky Botanical Garden, Swallow's Nest, monuments of Sevastopol, canyons, bays and waterfalls.

And if you add to this the Yalta water park "Blue Bay" and the zoo "Fairy Tale", in Evpatoria - "Dinopark", "Tropic Park", the tram "Milk Sea" (village tram), "Clown House", "Dolphinarium", the most a large water park in Crimea - "Banana Republic Aquaparkos", in Feodosia - the Karadag Dolphinarium, in Sevastopol - the Zurbagan water park, a dolphinarium and the Sevastopol Aquarium, in Kerch - an ostrich farm - your children will be happy from such an abundance of interesting entertainment.

And one more feature of the current summer season, which makes holidays in Crimea profitable, is that tempting special offers have been created for tourists, discounts on air tickets, new interesting tourist routes are being developed, and all-inclusive offers have begun to appear more and more often.

Best prices for tours to Crimea

How much does a ticket to Crimea cost?

The bulk of tourists (65%) used to come by car or train. Now, as an alternative, holidaymakers are offered ferry and air services.

The most convenient and fastest plane is undoubtedly. From June 1 to October 31, 2014, flights from Russian cities (there are already 33 of them today) to Simferopol will be operated at a good discount and at a special fare. And straight from the airport, comfortable buses will take tourists anywhere: to Sevastopol, Yalta, Evpatoria or Feodosia.

True, it is no longer possible to buy a ticket for two, three, four thousand now, because cheap tickets were sold out at the end of May.

The emergence of a Russian low-cost airline has increased the chances of having an inexpensive vacation in Crimea. Naturally, the cheapest tickets (from 999 rubles one way) have long been sold out, and the fewer days remain until the end of the summer season (flights will operate until September 20), the more rapidly the number of tickets with good fares decreases.

Ferries and high-speed catamarans Sochi-1 and Sochi-2, which deliver tourists along the route Anapa - Kerch" and "port Caucasus - Kerch". The cost of travel on a catamaran is, of course, more expensive than on a ferry (instead of 162 rubles - 1000 rubles), but it is faster and there are fewer queues (however, you cannot cross on a catamaran with a car).

And from June 1, high-speed catamarans entered the route Anapa - Feodosia - Yalta. You can get from Anapa to Yalta in 6.5 hours and in 3 hours from Anapa to Feodosia. Ticket prices: Anapa – Yalta – 2.7 thousand rubles, Anapa – Feodosia – 1.5 thousand rubles, Feodosia – Yalta – 1.2 thousand rubles. Children under 6 years old can travel for free, and children from 6 to 12 years old can travel for half the price of an adult ticket.

The operating schedule of ferries and catamarans can be found on the website of the Unified Transport Directorate.

Resorts of the Krasnodar region

Among the resorts in the Krasnodar Territory, Anapa and Gelendzhik are traditionally in greatest demand for families with children.

This year, new facilities and new opportunities that have appeared in Sochi after the Olympics are very attractive to vacationers.

The number of hotel complexes has increased and, accordingly, the number of rooms of varying degrees of comfort and price: from inexpensive 3* hotels to luxury “fives”. For a family holiday you can rent an apartment.

Accordingly, the price range is large. You can stay for 300-500 rubles a day in a mini-hotel, or you can, for example, for 8 thousand rubles a day in a 5* hotel.

In addition, the popular all-inclusive holiday format is now increasingly found in Sochi hotels.

Sochi novelties

The Imeretinsky resort area, built around the Sochi Olympic Park, is new this summer season. 3-5* hotels provide quality service and comfortable conditions, animation, and spa centers. On the territory of the resort there is a new long embankment and a wide pebble beach.

And next to the Olympic Park there is the recently opened Sochi Park theme park, which all guests of the city and, first of all, children simply must visit.

Right on the territory of the amusement park is the Bogatyr Hotel, stylized as a medieval castle and decorated with fabulous interiors, which opened at the end of June.

The hotel accepts children of any age; the approximate cost of accommodation with breakfast for 1 person is from 3,450 rubles per day.

New opportunities have appeared for those living in luxury hotels in Krasnaya Polyana, built for winter holidays. The summer season started here in June. This means a good holiday at lower prices, visiting cable cars, walking along picturesque mountain paths, and having fun in water parks.

And for those who are accustomed to active recreation, the resort offers mountain and city bike rentals, horseback riding, health tourist routes, physical education programs for adults and children, and fun and healthy sports games.

In July you can take part in the excursion “Evening Sochi. Olympic Park" and visit the Fisht stadium, where the colorful opening of the Olympics and its no less colorful closing took place. You can get to Krasnaya Polyana from Adler for just 112 rubles on the Lastochka high-speed train.

Transport accessibility is another advantage of Krasnodar resorts. Very quickly and conveniently you can get to Gelendzhik, Sochi (2 hours from Moscow and 3 hours from St. Petersburg), Anapa and Krasnodar by plane. Ticket prices (July prices) from Moscow to Sochi - from 10,574 rubles (round trip), from St. Petersburg - from 12,055 rubles per person.

You can also get there by train, bus, car or sea.

  • the village of Nebug (Tuapse district of the Krasnodar Territory) with the famous dolphinarium
  • cities: Yeysk, Taganrog, Taman, Golubitskaya village and Dolzhanskaya village (Azov Sea)
  • Divnomorskoe and Dzhanhot (villages near Gelendzhik) are a wonderful place for a quiet, relaxing holiday
  • Kabardinka, Lazarevskoye, Vityazevo - popular resorts in the Krasnodar Territory
  • Adler (Black Sea coast of the Caucasus)

Anapa has all the conditions for an ideal children's holiday (within the city there are a large number of children's health facilities, plenty of entertainment, absence of sweltering heat, comfortable water temperature and affordable prices).

Among the children's camps, “Orlyonok” (Tuapse district of the Krasnodar Territory) attracts the attention of parents. Accommodation there, according to experts, for a shift (21 days) will cost from 45 to 65 thousand rubles, plus the cost of a ticket to Tuapse from Moscow (9500-9900 rubles).

I wrote more about the resorts of the Krasnodar region in one of the previous articles.

And, of course, in addition to the famous and beloved resorts of the South of Russia, there are other places for beach holidays in our country.

Resorts and beaches of the Baltic Sea

Zelenogradsk

This ancient seaside resort (once a royal resort) on the Baltic Sea is located 30 kilometers from Kaliningrad at the very beginning of the Curonian Spit. The height of the swimming season falls right in mid-July (the water temperature at this time is +20°C).

The water warms up quickly, a flat, gently sloping bottom, golden beaches, a mild climate, its own mineral springs, sea air saturated with minerals and iodine, healthy mud, the absence of heat and sudden changes in time zones and climate - all this makes holidays with children in Zelenogradsk useful and healthy.

Curonian Spit

This is a sandy peninsula that stretches 98 kilometers in length from Zelenogradsk to Lithuanian Klaipeda. The spit separates the fresh water Curonian Lagoon from the Baltic Sea and is a unique national park with pine, spruce and deciduous forests, sand dunes and flowering meadows.

And the main thing why tourists love this resort is its long, clean sandy beaches.

Svetlogorsk

Another famous resort on the Baltic Sea with snow-white sandy beaches, where residents and guests of the city relax all summer.

If you're lucky, on the beaches you can find pieces of sunny amber, which this summer, due to strong winds, washed ashore in large quantities by the waves.

And one more good news: the repair of the funicular has been completed (it hasn’t worked for several years), with the help of which tourists can go down to the city beach directly from the train station for 25 rubles.

In the Kaliningrad region, more than 250 hotels, recreation centers, hotels and sanatoriums, including 17 children's health camps, have been prepared to accommodate guests.

Lake beaches of Karelia

Residents of big cities, especially metropolitan regions, love to relax in these beautiful places. The best time to visit Karelia is June-September. There are a lot of rivers and about 60 lakes. In June you can see white nights, and in July you can already swim.

In addition, in Karelia you will find amazing nature, nature reserves and arboretums, the Valaam Monastery, Kizhi on Lake Onega, the Solovetsky Islands, Kem.

Of course, it’s hardly worth going here with small children. But older children will certainly appreciate outdoor activities full of adventure. Or you can simply live for a couple of weeks in a wooden house on the shore of one of the forest lakes.

You can get from Moscow to Petrozavodsk in an hour and a half by plane, or you can get there from St. Petersburg by car (you can rent a car).

Baikal

Summer is the best time to travel to Lake Baikal, although in summer the water in the lake rarely warms up to +23°C. At the same time, there are good sandy beaches.

Most of the hotels, museums, and restaurants are located on the shore of the lake in the village of Listvyanka. From here you can go on excursions to a shamanic place - Olkhon Island, Mount Shamanka, visit caves with preserved rock paintings, or visit the Baikal Zoo and seal nursery in the village itself.

Lake Seliger

The picturesque lake, which is also a popular Central Russian resort, is located on the territory of the Novgorod and Tver regions. The best time for a beach holiday is July and August, and the best places - clean beaches and untouched nature with a unique landscape are located on the shore of the lake in the city of Ostashkov.

Many people combine a beach holiday with a visit to ancient Russian cities (Torzhok, Tver, Kashin).

Astrakhan region

Active recreation on the water, wonderful fishing and interesting excursion programs attract many tourists to the Astrakhan region.

For those who are not indifferent to the beauty of these steppe places, a new tourist route “Steppe Ring” has been developed, which unites the sights of Volgograd, Astrakhan and Rostov.

In one trip, tourists will visit Pavlov's House, the Battle of Stalingrad Panorama Museum in Volgograd, get acquainted with the sights in Rostov-on-Don, visit Sarai-Bata and lotus fields in the Astrakhan region.

Where else can you visit with children in July?

According to the Oktogo.ru service (the selection was made by the number of hotels booked for staying with children for the summer of 2014), the top 10 included Moscow, St. Petersburg, Anapa, Sochi, Sevastopol, Kazan, Yeysk, Veliky Novgorod, Gelendzhik and Yaroslavl.

People come to Moscow with children for an average of 3-4 days, to St. Petersburg for five days. These cities traditionally host various events and festivals in the summer that are of interest to both adults and children.

This is the time to visit city parks and various entertainments. For example, in Moscow the best parks for families with children are Sokolniki, Kuzminki and Gorky Park. And in the Tsaritsyno park, a boulder park recently appeared - this is the first special climbing area in the capital, where you can relax with the whole family.

Also, residents of Moscow and the Moscow region love to spend time at the Klyazma Reservoir in the hot summer.

For those who like to have fun, the Stars of the White Nights music festival is taking place in St. Petersburg, which ends on July 31. And on July 19, 2014, the Festival of Colors opens.

For tourists who go on boat excursions to explore the city, new rules have been introduced (for now only on the route from Admiralteyskaya embankment to Universitetskaya): now you can get off the excursion ship at any stop along the route, see the sights and continue the excursion again on another ship. The cost of a day ticket is 500 rubles, for beneficiaries it is two times cheaper.

Also, on some routes for tourists, inexpensive travel on aquabuses and tourist Meteors from Palace Embankment to Peterhof has resumed.

Kazan

This city continues to amaze its little guests. In terms of quantity and quality of children's entertainment, Tatarstan can compete with many.

Attraction Mirror Maze Pikabolo, Sky Park, amusement and amusement park "Kyrlay", interactive scientific children's center "House of Entertaining Science and Technology", Children's Railway - and this is not a complete list of entertainment for children in Kazan.

And finally, travel news that may be useful.

The summer season is open at the Arkhyz resort

In the summer you can also have a good rest in the mountains with children. The resort in Karachay-Cherkessia (220 kilometers from Mineralnye Vody) offers its young guests an interesting program: accommodation in a tent or children's camp, bus excursions to local attractions, climbing the mountains on a cable car, jeep rides, walking and cycling.

About holidays in Abkhazia

Experts say that short-term political unrest in Abkhazia did not greatly affect the number of people wishing to holiday in this country. The Foreign Ministry confirms: the situation is currently stable and absolutely calm.

Festival in the Divnogorye Nature Reserve

On July 5, the Divnogorye Museum-Reserve (Liskinsky District, Voronezh Region) will host a traditional open-air festival for the eighth time with an interesting and rich cultural and entertainment program.

And lastly

Due to unfavorable weather conditions, the authorities of the Krasnodar region do not recommend tourists visiting the foothills and mountainous areas of Kuban until the end of June and early July.

The article discusses 10 best places to relax with children in July.

What to do if your vacation falls on the hottest and most expensive month of the summer? We go through all the possible options and find out: where the season in July is less hot, beach holidays are cheaper, and there are no traffic jams.

You can go to the seaside inexpensively in July not only with early booking or a last minute ticket. The main condition for hunting for profit is to search through all tour operators. Let's say one hotel offers a discount, and the second has both standard and economy rooms.

They monitor databases of trusted tour operators, compare prices and show the cheapest options for the dates/month selected by the user.

Where to go in July without a visa?

The desire to jump on a plane and find yourself by the sea is often interrupted by the need to obtain a visa. However, there are a sufficient number of areas where paperwork is not required. Namely:

The price is per person when purchasing a tour for two

Where to go inexpensively in July? TOP 5 best destinations

When choosing a place to fly on vacation, one of the decisive factors is the travel budget. Contrary to prevailing stereotypes, spending an inexpensive holiday at sea in July is quite a feasible task. You should focus on traditional budget areas, which we will describe in detail below: Türkiye , Bulgaria , Greece , Montenegro And .

Türkiye

The most popular holiday option on the warm sea in July was, is and will be Turkey, even despite the extreme temperatures. Visa-free, all inclusive and short flights are the key to mass demand.

The entire line of the Antalya coast, under the aggressive sun, heats up to +33°С...+35°С (it feels an order of magnitude higher), the Mediterranean Sea – up to +28°С. The weather is clear, no rain, but that's just not enough. Very humid stuffy and sticky .

The situation is slightly different on the Aegean coast: thanks to the low humidity and winds, the degrees are felt as they are - typical +32°C...+34°C, and the water is refreshing with its +24°C.

Where to go to the sea in Turkey? Tourists taught by “hot” experience recommend only the Aegean coast (Marmaris, Bodrum, Kusadasi) - at least there you can really relax on the beach, and not hide in a hotel. Although, when has the extreme heat stopped you from vacationing in good old Side, Kemer or Alanya, especially in the high season?

  • For two people in Turkey in July 2020 - from 45,000 rubles for 7 days, all inclusive. Aegean coast – from 50,000

Bulgaria

Where to go to the sea in July and not get overwhelmed by the heat? In Bulgaria definitely the most comfortable weather . In mid-summer it is, of course, very warm here: the air temperature is +28°C...+30°C, and the sea reaches +24°C. Bulgaria in July is generally at its coolest; a month later or earlier it’s already cooler.

Judging by the reviews, one cannot remain indifferent to the country. Either it is included in the “inexpensive and worthy vacation - repeat” list, or in the “I do not recommend it to anyone”. Bulgaria's opponents are not satisfied with the Black Sea itself, the crowded conditions and outbreaks of infections during the season. Supporters counter that the whole problem is hygiene, and the combination of such a mild climate and sandy beaches cannot be found anywhere else.

Where is the best beach holiday in July? Albena is one continuous tourist reservation aimed at children, Golden Sands is a youth resort, Sunny Beach stands out for its number of hotels and all-inclusive services, Burgas stands out for its size and infrastructure, and people go to Pomorie to improve their health with therapeutic mud.

  • You can fly to the seaside in Bulgaria in July from 42,000 rubles per week for two

Greece

Symi Island, Greece (excursion from Rhodes)

Where the season is in full swing in July is in Greece. Moreover, the season is hot, sultry, but not to the same extent as in Turkey - all because of the more benign climate.

However, if at the beginning of July the temperatures still somehow differ in different regions, then in the end the entire country experiences maximum heat. In air up to +35°С, in water +25°С…+26°С. Due to the low humidity it was still hot easier to tolerate .

It is recommended to spend a beach holiday in Greece in July on the islands of Crete, Rhodes, Kos. They are blown by winds that dilute the hot sun. You can also go the opposite way: on the greener Ionian Islands, Corfu and Chalkidiki, the shade of trees helps. But remember that a lot of vegetation = high humidity.

You will have to forget about daytime excursions in open spaces; even the beautiful Santorini will not “enter” in such weather. But, unlike the rest of Europe, you can have an inexpensive vacation in Greece.

  • Minimum prices for tours to Greece in July 2020 – from 50,000 rubles for 7 nights for two without meals; from 60,000 rubles – breakfast + dinner

Montenegro

We went up to the observation fortress of Kotor (about 40 minutes in time)

In addition to Turkey, you can relax abroad in July without a visa in Montenegro. And, moreover, relatively inexpensive.

However, this is by no means an alternative to the Turkish coast. Yes, there is a sea - the Adriatic - and the water temperature in it allows swimming - +25°C. But Montenegro is not included in the countries for beach holidays; it more for the soul – with nature, delicious cuisine and gentle sunshine. Therefore, more or less decent beaches have been occupied since June and amaze with the number of sunbathing bodies.

Searching for a tour, by the way, is not always relevant: sometimes it is more profitable to go on your own. Where? Tivat is the capital with developed infrastructure and cheap housing; Budva is a noisy, lively and crowded resort, and next to it are calmer Rafailovici and Becici, where you can find decent beaches. Ulcinj is known as the most distant, but the only city with a sandy coast.

  • Tours to Montenegro in July 2020 cost from 55,000 rubles for 7 days for two

Where to go abroad for the azure color of the sea and golden sand? Cyprus has both available, in addition to the absence of hassle with a visa (done in 1-2 days).

However, what Cypriot resorts do NOT have in July is a favorable climate. It’s hot (+31°C…+34°C), too humid (which means we add more degrees according to how we feel) and nowhere to hide from the evil sun except in the room. But an undeniable plus is that you don’t have to get out of the +27-degree sea.

The best beaches, according to tourists, are in Protaras and Ayia Napa, but these places are inconvenient for excursions. Paphos and Larnaca, on the other hand, have a lot to do and walks, but the coastline is not the most impressive.

  • A beach holiday in July 2020 in Cyprus will cost from 50,000 rubles for 7 days for 2 people

Where else can you relax abroad in July?

The list of possible vacation spots is by no means limited to the above-mentioned areas. From the reviews it follows that many tourists also like lesser-known resorts. There are many reasons: I don’t like the number of tourists, I’m not happy with the prices there. Where else to go to the sea in July?

Duomo Cathedral in Milan (they decided not to go up)

Italy is so hot in July that a beach holiday looks more attractive than an educational stroll.

The weather temperature is similar in all regions: +29°C...+31°C outside and +24°C...+26°C in the water. Let us note that Rome in July seemed tolerable to us, it was possible to live, but Milan, located much further north, is remembered as a place where it is better not to stick your head out at noon.

The best beach holidays in Italy - according to tourists' reviews - are in Sicily and Sardinia. You can spend a vacation for two in the Amalfi Islands, the island of Ischia or Liguria - picturesque and romantic. The region of Tuscany and Puglia are suitable for traveling with a child, and you can relax inexpensively in the most “Russian” resorts of the Adriatic Sea - Rimini and Riccione.

  • In July, prices for holidays in Italy on a tour start from 65,000 rubles for 7 nights for 2 persons. Islands – from 80,000

Where to vacation abroad in July in the most interesting and “beachy” way possible? We are all for Spain - there are so many places to have fun, admire, and swim!

At the very beginning of July, the sea is not hot: the water temperature is an uncertain +23°C (with the exception of the Costa Blanca region). But after the 10th the weather is completely stable, +24°C...+25°C for swimming and +28°C...+30°C for walking. To be honest, in Barcelona in the middle of the month we felt a little uncomfortable under the sun, it felt stuffy.

The main headache with Spain is deciding where to go and choosing a resort. In short: holidays with children and friends who cannot stand the heat - on the islands (Mallorca, Tenerife); beautiful beaches, sea and a cool amusement park on the Costa Dorada (Cambrils, Salou); Barcelona is the ultimate concentration of aesthetics and summer sales, Costa Brava is generally an inexpensive region and cooler; well, the cheapest resorts in July are Lloret de Mar (for party-goers and beachgoers) and Calella (very close to Barcelona).

Portugal

Our trip to the edge of Europe in Porto

Places abroad where it is warm but not hot in July can be counted on one hand. One of them is Portugal, which is haunted by the ocean breeze.

Summer in the country begins from the 20th of June, and therefore July is not yet the peak of active sun. On average, the air temperature is about +25°С…+29°С, and the Atlantic Ocean indefinitely jumps from +17°С to +22°С. It's cool in the morning and evening, and even midday doesn't force you to hide in the shade.

Where to go? A beach holiday in Portugal in July can only be arranged in Madeira, which also has the warmest water (+22°C, however). Reviews from tourists also mention the Algarve region, where people go to enjoy the views of rocky grottoes and long beaches. Near Lisbon, people sunbathe in the resorts of Cascais and Estoril. The ideal scenario for getting to know Portugal is a tour of the capital and Porto, and then relaxation in Madeira.

Sochi

When talking about a beach holiday in July in Russia, first of all, they mean Sochi. In 2018, the resort became even more popular - the World Cup attracted crowds of fans. And after it ended, many stayed for a week to sunbathe. 🙂

Maldives

Surprisingly, you can also find inexpensive tours in July to the Maldives. Winter holidays on the paradise islands are amazing for the sums they shell out, but in the summer they cost much less.

This is understandable - the low season is coming. The weather does not change in terms of temperature, the same +31°C in the air and +29°C in the ocean. The likelihood of rain increases and, accordingly, humidity. With clear skies you can’t guess – you’ll either be lucky or not (but “no” usually lasts for an hour or two or at night).

The irony is that even at the height of the tourist season, the islands can burst into rain. So is it necessary to overpay for a slightly clearer forecast if the warm sea and bounty beauty are year-round? 🙂

  • The cost of a trip to the Maldives in July 2020 is from 155,000 rubles per week for two (including breakfast)

Croatia

Nature in Croatia

Among the possible destinations for a beach holiday in July 2020, we note Croatia. The weather is quite calm and windless. Air temperature – from +28°С to +30°С, it is warmest in the southern resorts. Water stays in the range of +24°С…+25°С. You will enjoy Croatia in July with its good climate, turquoise sea and pine thickets right on the shore.

What will confuse a tourist? Beaches crowded with vacationers, which, for the most part, are either pebbly or concrete, and the discrepancy between the quality of hotels and the declared cost. The country, unfortunately, has long left the “inexpensive” category.

Middle Dolmatia - the towns of Brela and Makarska - are very popular in the season, because... The pebbles here are small. On the Istrian peninsula in Porec you can find cheap housing (and concrete instead of a beach), and in Rovinj and Umag you can find more expensive holidays, but also at a higher level.

  • Prices for 7-day tours to Croatia in July start from 70,000 rubles for 2 people

1. Prague, Czech Republic)

We visited here for the first time during the New Year holidays in 2015. We visited again in the summer of 2016 and spring of 2018.

The main advantages of Prague are, firstly, accessibility (there are daily flights from Moscow and St. Petersburg for 6-7 thousand rubles) and budget (prices correspond to Russian ones, and for some cost categories they are even lower). Secondly, in addition to the huge number of attractions of Prague itself, there is also a lot of interesting things in its surroundings and neighboring cities.

2. Montenegro

We discovered this country in May 2014, when it was just gaining popularity among our compatriots. Since then, we have visited it several times, both at the height of summer and during the velvet season. Last visit - July 2017. We traveled the entire coast of the country, from Herceg Novi to Ulcinj, in different companies (with friends or with children) and without undue modesty we can assure you that we have penetrated into almost all aspects of the holiday here :)

3. Budapest

In February 2016 we decided to visit Budapest and were very pleased. We went to the capital of Hungary again in January 2017.

  • Budapest route for 1 day + map

4. Rome

We’ve been to Rome twice and only briefly, so we don’t have a lot of material on this topic, but we can still tell you about the main nuances of the trip. In addition to Rome, we also spent several days in Venice.

5. Croatia

We have been to Croatia, as well as Montenegro, more than once. We stopped three times at the main resort of the country - Dubrovnik, spent several days in Split and took a short trip along the coast. Are you ready to answer the burning question: Where is it better to relax - Montenegro or Croatia?

6. Barcelona, Catalonia

In the summer of 2016 we went to Spain and spent several days in the wonderful city of Barcelona. After that we went to the Catalan coast, the small town of Calella, where we arranged a week-long resort holiday :)

We visited Barcelona again in the summer of 2018.

8. Amsterdam (Netherlands)

In the summer of 2017 we went to Amsterdam. This city left us an unforgettable impression and became one of our favorites among those we visited. As an experiment, we decided to make a separate guide site for Amsterdam.

9. Paris (France)

After Amsterdam, Paris awaited us, which left us with rather contradictory impressions. Currently, work is underway on a guide to the capital of France, information will be updated gradually.

10. Portugal

In February 2017, I visited Porto for the first time. The city became a real discovery for us. In the summer of 2018 we revisited Porto, as well as Lisbon and its surroundings. Currently, work is underway on a separate travel guide website for Portugal.

11. Helsinki (Finland)

As advocates of smart consumption, we often try to budget wisely for our travels, which is why we have repeatedly used Helsinki Airport as a starting point. During all this time, we have managed to get to know this city quite closely and we are ready to give some useful advice.

Where to go on vacation in July?

Where to go to the sea in July

For lovers of beach holidays and a bronze tan, tours to Bulgaria, tours to Turkey, tours to Montenegro or tours to Croatia are ideal. When traveling with children, it is better to choose the first half of the month, when the heat has not yet reached its full strength. The same thing - tours to Greece and tours to Cyprus. By the middle of the month, daytime temperatures everywhere will reach +30°C and above. This is good for tanning, but not so much for small children. An exception may be Greece, where high air humidity does not allow you to feel the heat to the fullest.

Tours to Spain and tours to Italy are also an excellent option for a beach holiday in July, since here too it will be about +30°C. Tours to France will not be an exception. But for this purpose, we recommend visiting these countries closer to the beginning of August. But the first days and mid-July are more suitable for sightseeing and excursions.

Purely Asian destinations in July continue to be destinations for everyone. For example, when choosing tours to Thailand, be prepared for the height of the rainy season and stuffiness, although this does not cancel out a full-fledged beach holiday. But tours to Egypt mean getting into the thick of things, because the heat here can easily reach +45°C and even higher.

Holidays in July: where to go abroad

A little more about the excursion destinations of July. Pay attention to tours to the Czech Republic. Beautiful Czech cities, and, above all, majestic Prague, will be greeted with excellent weather (on average +25-28°C), an abundance of interesting sights and entertainment. An entire vacation can be spent exploring Prague alone, its streets and bridges. You can go to Austria or Germany, but the best options for an educational holiday are tours to Sweden, tours to Finland, Norway or Denmark, because there is something to see there, and the absence of extreme heat will make excursions much more pleasant.
